Regarding your first paragraph, don’t you think it might be Clapper that should lawyer up? Maybe CNN and Comey might want to hire some legal help. However, as much as I would love it, I don’t think that the Department of (selective) Justice will go after the head of the clan with a tan.
Don’t get me wrong. I would love it if they would coordinate with multiple local entities and have those local legal jurisdictions retroactively change their laws just to go after Barack (like New York did by changing their statute of limitations for the suit against Trump). Still, I don’t see them doing it.
Sadly, I agree that there probably won’t be ultimate resolution but as we’ve seen with what they did to Trump over and over again the process can be part of the punishment.
I read that Clapper has already hired a lawyer, that’s the only reason I didn’t mention him in particular.
