DISTRICT 303: CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – This title clash pitted the storied EASTFIELD COLLEGE HARVESTERS against the NORTH LAKE COLLEGE LAKERS. The Harvesters were on fire and by Halftime they led the Lakers by a score of 46-33.
After the break Eastfield College had to fight to keep North Lake College at arm’s length but in the end the Harvesters took the crown with an 83-68 win. Tremondre Anderson’s 22 points led the victors. Continue reading
POINTS A-PLENTY – The BLUEFIELD STATE BIG BLUES hosted the SALEM INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY TIGERS yesterday in the most offense-oriented game of the day. By Halftime the Big Blues led the Tigers 75-56, which could be a final score in most games. In the end Bluefield State won by a score of 129-110 with FIFTY-SIX of those points coming from Mark Durgan.
ALOHA MEANS ROUNDBALL – The CHAMINADE UNIVERSITY SILVERSWORDS took the court against the visiting BYU-HAWAII SEASIDERS and were far from gracious hosts. The Silverswords were on top of the Seasiders 56-39 at the break enroute to a 115-86 blowout victory. Kuany Kuany (no error) led Chaminade University in scoring by tossing in 24 of his team’s points. 
HAWAII ONE-OH-ONE – The UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT HILO VULCANS trailed their guests – the CHAMINADE UNIVERSITY SILVERSWORDS – by a score of 45-36 at Halftime. After the break the Vulcans erupted for 65 points, winning this Instant Classic by a count of 101-99. Salim Gloyd led Hawaii- Hilo with a Double Double of 28 points and 14 rebounds.
FINS TO THE LEFT, FINS TO THE RIGHT – (For all you Jimmy Buffett fans) The NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY SHARKS took the court against the visiting BARRY UNIVERSITY BUCCANEERS yesterday. The Sharks were up on the Buccaneers 50-40 by the midpoint then retained the lead for a 105-91 victory. Chris Page tossed in FORTY-ONE points for Nova Southeastern University.

NUMBER SEVEN TAKES A FALL – The SPALDING UNIVERSITY GOLDEN EAGLES hosted the 7th ranked IOWA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY TIGERS yesterday. The Golden Eagles had built up a nice 40-28 lead by Halftime and then went on to win the game in a 78-56 stunner. Brandon Goeing led Spalding University with 26 points.
CENTURY CLUB – Teams scoring 100 or more points in Regulation: The MIAMI (OH) AT HAMILTON HARRIERS notched a 100-78 road rout over the SOUTHERN STATE PATRIOTS *** The SOUTHERN MAINE SEAWOLVES topped their hosts the UNIVERSITY OF MAINE AT MACHIAS CLIPPERS 102-92 ### And the HUSTON-TILLOTSON UNIVERSITY RAMS obliterated the PAUL QUINN COLLEGE TIGERS to the tune of 123-62.
