The voters have spoken and the ASA Avengers are the winners of The 20 Coolest-Named JUCO/COCO Sports Teams contest! It’s hard to tell which thing people found cooler: the name Avengers or that incredibly cool logo up there. My e-mailers wanted that look on anything from T-shirts to jackets to tattoos, so I have a feeling ASA could subsidize their institution just off of merchandising. I call dibs on their fight song for my ring-tone! To follow their teams and inquire about buying something with that logo on it click here: http://www.asa.edu/default-athletics.asp
In second place were the Hutchinson Blue Dragons, and just like with the Avengers voters were torn about which was more appealing: the name Blue Dragons or the logo. To follow their teams click here: http://cms.hutchcc.edu/hcc/Dragonshome.aspx?menu_id=156&head_id=8554&id=172
In third place were the Iowa Western Reivers, proving the perennial popularity of swashbuckling imagery for sports teams! To follow their teams click here: http://athletics.iwcc.edu/
