Here at Independent Voter site Balladeer’s Blog I got a kick out of the recent Reuters report on their investigation into the slaveholding roots of U.S. politicians. It’s long been known that Joe Biden is from a line of slave owners but – as I’m sure it galled Reuters to have to report – their bete noir Donald Trump was the ONLY living U.S. president NOT descended from slave owners. (Yes, even Barack Obama’s ancestors were slave owners.)
Republican office holders who are descended from slave owners include some of my frequent targets for bashing over present-day corruption like Mitch McConnell, George W. Bush and Lindsey Graham.
Democrats descended from slave owners and who are among my frequent targets for bashing over present-day corruption include Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren, infamous for her exposed lies about being Native American (and using that lie to fill minority positions in academia despite being lily-white).
As I always say, America’s politicians are the LAST people who should ever try to give finger-wagging lectures on morality to anyone else. Their sanctimonious drivel is always hilarious when they try talking down to the rest of us.

Which means they ALL should be made to pay reparations. If that bankrupts them, that’s all the better. As for former president Loose Cannon, I understand he once told a pretty raunchy and derogatory Polack joke. Care to join me in a class action? I know some reputable [snicker] lawyers.
Ha! I see ya thinking! And yes, if only there could be a method for starting off any reparations by going after THEIR money, not the public treasury. So sick of this. It reminds me of when Pelosi said to thousands of illegal immigrants “I wish I could take all of you home with me.” Well, she COULD have taken many of them home with her and housed them in a few of the seven or so mansions owned by her and her husband – who “just happened” to get countless government contracts for his firm over the decades. I’d actually be wowed if the bloated rich pigs who do nothing but talk would back up that talk with a little action.

Ha! I agree. It seemed to be part of their general push for reparations by covering items like this, but they accidentally revealed positive news about Trump.
