San Diego Mesa CollegeA DOUBLE-SHOT OF THAT OT LOVE – This game pitted the (7) SAN DIEGO MESA COLLEGE OLYMPIANS against their hosts the EAST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE HUSKIES. A 7-0 1st Quarter lead for the Olympians was cut to a 14-13 edge by Halftime. The Huskies went up 19-17 to end the 3rd Quarter but the 4th ended in a 25-25 tie. Neither team scored in the 1st OT but in the 2nd San Diego Mesa College logged 8 points to win the game 33-31.

compton-college-tartars-helmetTWO IN A ROW – The COMPTON COLLEGE TARTARS took the field against the visiting SANTA MONICA COLLEGE CORSAIRS. The scoring in this game was as odd as the Tartars winning two in a row. Compton College led the Corsairs 6-0 in the opening Quarter and 12-0 at the break … And then no more points were scored, so the Tartars improved to 2-1 with this 12-0 win.

Butte CollegeTUSSLE IN THE TOP TEN – The (8) BUTTE COLLEGE ROADRUNNERS welcomed the (9) CITY COLLEGE OF SAN FRANCISCO RAMS. The Roadrunners beep-beeped to a commanding 26-7 lead by the Half, then coasted from there for a 35-14 thrashing of the Rams.

Golden West College RustlersROAD WARRIORS – The (3) GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE RUSTLERS won 24-14 at the BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE RENEGADES   ###   Meanwhile, the (4) MOUNT SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE MOUNTIES obliterated the SAN BERNARDINO VALLEY COLLEGE WOLVERINES 63-18   ###   And the (11) FULLERTON COLLEGE HORNETS downed the COLLEGE OF THE CANYONS COUGARS 29-24.

de anza mountain lionsCATFIGHT – The DE ANZA COLLEGE MOUNTAIN LIONS paid a visit to the SAN JOSE CITY COLLEGE JAGUARS. The Jaguars led 7-6 in the 1st Quarter before the Mountain Lions exploded in the 2nd for a 29-13 advantage. The defenses dominated the 2nd Half, so 29-13 was also the final score.

pasadena city college lancersALL-NAME GAMES – The PASADENA CITY COLLEGE LANCERS defeated their guests the SANTA ANA COLLEGE DONS in a 27-17 affair    ###    And the GLENDALE COLLEGE VAQUEROS absolutely crushed the visiting PIERCE COLLEGE BRAHMA BULLS to the tune of 43-7.

Grossmont GriffinsTHRILLER – The GROSSMONT COLLEGE GRIFFINS held serve against the ORANGE COAST COLLEGE PIRATES in this game. A 7-7 opening Quarter tie became a 13-10 Pirates edge by the midpoint. The Griffins went on top 24-19 in the 3rd Quarter, then won out 31-26 in the 4th.

jones college bobcats helmetCLOSE CALL FOR NUMBER FIVE – The number 5 team in the nation – the JONES COLLEGE BOBCATS – welcomed the EAST CENTRAL COLLEGE WARRIORS. The Bobcats led 7-0 in the 1st Quarter but the Warriors cut that to a 10-7 advantage come Halftime. After the break each team added another Touchdown to their tally as Jones College won the game 17-14.

East Mississippi College Lions helmet profileTHE LIONS ROAR – This game pitted the 8th ranked EAST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE LIONS against the home standing MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COLLEGE BULLDOGS. The Bulldogs were up 21-7 at the Half and 31-20 in the 3rd Quarter but the Lions roared back in the 4th for a 48-45 triumph.

Copiah Lincoln WolfpackBLOWOUTS – The COPIAH-LINCOLN COLLEGE WOLFPACK bludgeoned their hosts the SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE BEARS 44-13    ###    And the number 4 NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE RANGERS embarrassed the visiting ITAWAMBA COLLEGE INDIANS by a final count of 49-10.

Northeast Mississippi Tigers helmetSHUTOUTS – The NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE TIGERS dominated the MISSISSIPPI DELTA COLLEGE TROJANS on both sides of the ball in a 31-0 laugher    ###    And the HINDS COLLEGE EAGLES managed a much tighter shutout of 14-0 against the PEARL RIVER COLLEGE WILDCATS.
