Hi friend, I was curious what your take away from the debate is? Be prepared for a long comment from my end (my deepest apologies in advance).
Brett Baier sort of summed it up well with “I feel like we have all just been through something” at the end of the debate. I felt exactly like Greg Gutfeld when he said he will be nervous until it’s over because we really did not know what to expect from either candidate. Matt Gaetz couldn’t have said it better-“Trump came ready to debate and even ready to be moderator, I thought he asked better questions than Chris Wallace.” Yet, at the same time I felt like a parent who loves their child and puts their face into their palm each time President Trump interrupted (and this doesn’t change the fact that I am 1,000 times behind this great pro-life President).
The problem with liberal news is they will of course show the clips of Biden looking good, but it’s the same with anchors like Hannity saying “he steamrolled it” when in reality I think last night was a train-wreck. It’s times like these I appreciate more than ever the honest opinion and commentary of Tucker Carlson who won’t sugar coat it but speak plainly. It was painful to watch, and of course it’s hard when the moderator from Fox still has to be democrat and I completely see why Trump feels he had to interrupt because Biden just speaks utter nonsense: he couldn’t answer the simple question of “will you pack the supreme court?” he made himself look like he turned his back on his beloved left with no longer supporting their precious green new deal and he made himself look like he never talks to his own running mate “Harris didn’t say that” or “I do support Law Enforcement” while in the mean-time you have AOC and Harris supporting Black Lives Matter and the defunding the Police. Him being a puppet showed more than ever last night with the confusion he faced of probably feeling a certain way personally but having to back the mob. And ANTIFA being an idea rather than an organization? Okay.
Judge Jeanine is dead on when she says we are straight out being lied to and are we really going to set the bar that low of “Joe Biden had all his faculties last night and didn’t gaf so therefore he did excellent”? It’s a disgrace and Trump may interrupt because he knows he has a record and a country to defend while Biden can only resort to “shut up man, fool, racist, clown”, at one point (I can’t remember the exact quote) he accused Trump of wanting to drop a bomb on the areas that have been struck by hurricanes? I just shutter at thinking about what will happen to this country if we lose Trump. China will own America and we simply will not be America anymore. I thought I was called to only dedicate my future hermit prayers as a Carmelite Hermitess (nun) for the Our Lord as Spouse, Pope Benedict XVI and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, but I am going to add a fourth- that Our Lady will intervene and save this country’s democracy with the help of President Trump. I love this country with a deep zeal, as I know you do as well and I want to see it remain victorious and triumphant.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment! I agree with all those sentiments, especially that foolish “Antifa is just an idea” line that many outlets are ridiculing from Biden. To tell the truth I have not bothered watching presidential debates in years. I think they are outdated and unnecessary and in the current media age they may not even make a difference since each side’s media outlets will claim their candidate won. I grant you the Democrats have many. many more media outlets than the Republicans do but that goes back to the problem of the way the Republicans failed to keep up with the Democrats in the Media Arms Race.
That is such a good point about not needing debates. Because at the end of the day I still stand for everything Trump stands for, has accomplished and will accomplish. God reward you for the reply!
