DAY ONE: GAME ONE – The 4 seeds – the WRIGHT STATE AT THE LAKE LAKERS – took the diamond against the 5th seeded MISSISSIPPI UNIVERSITY FOR WOMEN (now co-ed) OWLS. The Owls went up 1-0 in the 1st Inning following which neither team scored in the 2nd through 4th.
In the 5th Inning the Lakers grabbed a 3-1 advantage then added 2 more Runs the rest of the way, compared to the 1 mustered by MUW. Wright State at the Lake won the game 5-2 for Pitcher Cross Youtsler.
DAY ONE: GAME TWO – The top seeded NEWPORT NEWS APPRENTICE SCHOOL BUILDERS (Shipbuilders) faced the 9 seeds – the SELMA UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS. The Builders parlayed a 2-0 1st Inning edge into an 8-0 lead in the 2nd.
Each team notched a Run in the 4th Inning to make it a 9-1 game with Newport News Apprentice School on top. From there the Builders put up 2 more in the 6th for an 11-1 blowout win. Pitcher Paul Jones was on the Mound for the entire game for NNAS.
DAY ONE: GAME THREE – The 7 seeds – the BRYANT & STRATTON COLLEGE AT ALBANY BOBCATS – clashed with the 10th seeded BLUEFIELD STATE BIG BLUES. The Bobcats went up 1-0 in the opening Inning and it wasn’t until the 4th that the Big Blues knotted things up at 1-1.
Bluefield State went on top 2-1 in the 5th and 4-1 in the top of the 7th before Bryant & Stratton College smacked in 4 Runs in the bottom of the 7th, riding those to a 5-4 victory. Zach Mattos of the Bobcats pitched for the entire game.
DAY ONE: GAME FOUR – In the 3 spot the PENN STATE AT DUBOIS LIONS took on the 6th seeded SOUTHERN MAINE COLLEGE SEAWOLVES. The Lions converted a 5-0 1st Inning lead into a 7-0 advantage in the 3rd.
The only Run scored the rest of the way was 1 by the Seawolves in the 5th. PSU-Dubois won the game by a final tally of 7-1. The winning Pitcher was Brandon Orsich.
DAY ONE: GAME FIVE – The 9th seeded SELMA UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS found themselves facing the 10 seeds – the PENN STATE AT MONT ALTO LIONS. The Bulldogs seized a 1-0 edge in the opening Inning followed by a Pitcher’s Duel in the 2nd through 4th Innings.
The 5th Inning saw Selma University make it a 2-0 game. The Bulldogs notched 2 more Runs in the 6th and rode them to a 4-0 Shutout over the Lions. Derrick Sylve threw for the entire game for Selma U.

KINGSPORT BRACKET: DAY ONE – The (4) MADONNA UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS defeated the (5) MARIAN UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS 8-6 in Game One. ### Game Two saw the (2) WEBBER INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY WARRIORS win a 5-2 battle with the (3) CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TIGERS. ### And in the Third Game the (1) TENNESSEE WESLEYAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS doubled-up on the (4) Crusaders 6-3.
MACON BRACKET: DAY ONE – The (5) UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA THUNDERBIRDS upset the (4) HUNTINGTON UNIVERSITY FORESTERS by a score of 7-5. ### In Game Two the (3) UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE (OH) RED STORM kept the Upsets coming with an 8-4 takedown of the (2) MIDDLE GEORGIA STATE KNIGHTS. ### The (1) SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY FIRE, the defending National Champions, defeated the (5) Thunderbirds 4-1 in Game Three.
MIAMI GARDENS BRACKET: DAY ONE – In Game One the (4) TALLADEGA COLLEGE TORNADOES notched a 3-2 victory over the (5) THOMAS UNIVERSITY NIGHT HAWKS. ### The middle game of the day saw the (2) WILLIAM JESSUP UNIVERSITY WARRIORS take down the (3) BRYAN COLLEGE LIONS 4-3. ### And the (1) SAINT THOMAS UNIVERSITY (FL) BOBCATS shut out the (4) Tornadoes 8-0 in Game Three.
SANTA BARBARA BRACKET: DAY ONE – The (4) ARIZONA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY FIRESTORM edged the (5) UNIVERSITY OF JAMESTOWN JIMMIES in a 5-4 Instant Classic. ### In Game Two the (3) UNIVERSITY OF ANTELOPE VALLEY PIONEERS upset the (2) WESTMONT COLLEGE WARRIORS (should be the Guardians) 9-8. ### And the Third Game found the (1) UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & ARTS OF OKLAHOMA DROVERS clobbering the (4) Firestorm 8-3.
SHREVEPORT BRACKET: DAY ONE – The (5) YORK (NE) COLLEGE PANTHERS owned the day in this Bracket, upsetting the (4) COLUMBIA (MO) COLLEGE COUGARS 7-6 in Game One and toppling the (1) OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY STARS 12-7 in Game Three. ### Meanwhile, in Game Two, the BELLEVUE (NE) BRUINS managed a 10-7 Upset of their own over the (2) LSU-SHREVEPORT PILOTS (Riverboat Pilots).
WILLIAMSBURG BRACKET: DAY ONE – Game One was a 5-4 TEN INNING victory for the (4) UNIVERSITY OF MOBILE RAMS over the (5) BAKER UNIVERSITY WILDCATS. ### In Game Two the (2) INDIANA TECH WARRIORS defeated the (3) LYON COLLEGE SCOTS 8-3. ### And the (1) UNIVERSITY OF THE CUMBERLANDS PATRIOTS closed out the day by demolishing the (4) Rams TEN to ONE!
LAWRENCEVILLE BRACKET: DAY ONE – The (5) UNION COLLEGE BULLDOGS upset the (4) SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY COUGARS by a Polo Score of 13-12 in Game One. ### In Game Two the (2) GEORGETOWN (KY) COLLEGE TIGERS defeated the storied INDIANA UNIVERSITY SOUTHEAST GRENADIERS 6-1. ### And in Game Three the (1) GEORGIA GWINNETT COLLEGE GRIZZLIES won a 5-2 affair over the (5) Bulldogs.
MONTGOMERY BRACKET: DAY ONE – In Game One the (5) OLIVET NAZARENE UNIVERSITY TIGERS tripled-up on the (4) JARVIS CHRISTIAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS in a 9-3 Upset. ### The (2) CENTRAL METHODIST UNIVERSITY EAGLES won Game Two 6-3 over the (3) HOPE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ROYALS. ### And in Game Three the (1) FAULKNER UNIVERSITY EAGLES absolutely shredded the (5) Tigers FIFTEEN to THREE.
HENDERSON BRACKET: DAY ONE – The (4) CONCORDIA (NE) UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS won Game One 3-1 over the CLARKE UNIVERSITY PRIDE. ### Game Two saw the (2) FREED-HARDEMAN UNIVERSITY LIONS defeat the (3) TEXAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY RAMS 3-1. ### And in Game Three the (1) OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY EAGLES crushed the (4) Bulldogs 14-6.
