Conference Tournaments have begun in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics). The Golden State Athletic Conference got things started.

DAY TWO RESULTS – The 4 seeds – the HOPE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ROYALS – bounced back from their Day One loss to TMU to win a pair of games yesterday. In the Royals’ clash with the 3rd seeded VANGUARD UNIVERSITY LIONS neither team scored until Hope International U grabbed a 2-0 lead in the 3rd Inning.
That became a 4-1 advantage in the 4th Inning and a 4-4 tie in the 8th. That 4-4 deadlock held up until the ELEVENTH Inning which ended in a 7-6 Royals victory. Pitcher Jerald Johnston logged the Win.
Up next HIU got a rematch against the 5 seeds – THE MASTERS UNIVERSITY MUSTANGS, leading them 5-0 by the 3rd Inning and 6-0 in the 6th. The Mustangs pulled to within 6-1 in the 7th and 7-2 in the 8th before the Royals won it 8-2 for Pitcher Dominic Potlongo, who threw for 9 Iron Man Innings.
The top-seeded WILLIAM JESSUP UNIVERSITY WARRIORS played the 2 seeds – the WESTMONT COLLEGE WARRIORS (Should be the Guardians) – in the middle game yesterday. After 2 scoreless Innings William Jessup University went on top 3-0 in the 3rd before adding 1 run each in the 8th and 9th. Westmont College mustered just 1 lone run in the 8th Inning as Jessup grabbed a 5-1 victory. Ashkhon Kuhaulua was on the Mound for the winners.
