CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES: GAME ONE – The GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE RUSTLERS took on the SANTA ROSA COLLEGE BEAR CUBS. The Rustlers came into the game with 1 loss already hanging over them so they HAD to win just to survive against the undefeated Bear Cubs. A 3-2 Golden West College lead in the 1st Inning became an 8-3 advantage in the 2nd and the shootout was on. In the end the Rustlers forced a second game by defeating Santa Rosa College by a Polo Match score of 12-10. Soren Yarnall pitched for the GWC win.
CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES: GAME TWO – In this decisive game the SANTA ROSA COLLEGE BEAR CUBS clashed again with the GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE RUSTLERS. Neither team scored until the 3rd Inning, when the Rustlers went up 1-0. The Bear Cubs overtook them in the 4th Inning for a 2-1 lead but Golden West College tied the score at 2-2 in the 5th. From there Santa Rosa College drove in 3 more runs but the Rustlers mustered just one more as the Bear Cubs won by a final tally of 6-3.
