CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The CORTLAND STATE RED DRAGONS won their first ever National Championship yesterday! The previous day the Red Dragons had won Game One of the Championship Series against the UW- LACROSSE EAGLES. They seemed in danger of losing Game Two, which would have forced a rubber game. In the top of the 9th Inning Cortland State came to bat trailing 2-1. They slammed in 5 runs then shut out the Eagles in their half of the Inning for a 6-2 victory. * CONGRATULATIONS TO THE RED DRAGONS, THE 2015 CHAMPIONS OF NCAA DIVISION THREE BASEBALL *

DAY FIVE – GAME ONE – In this game the 4 seeds – the LEWIS- CLARK STATE WARRIORS – took the diamond against the 6th seeded EMBRY- RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Aeronauts). Neither team scored until the Warriors grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 6th Inning. They added another run in the 8th and rode it to a 2-0 shutout of the Eagles. Ty Jackson was the winning Pitcher.
DAY FIVE – GAME TWO – Closing out the day was this battle between the Cinderella 9 seeds – the SAINT THOMAS (FL) UNIVERSITY BOBCATS – and the 2nd seeded FAULKNER UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Furies). After 3 scoreless Innings the Eagles put up 1 run each in the 4th, 5th and 6th. In the top of the 9th Inning the Bobcats at last got on the board, tying the score at 3-3 and forcing extra Innings.
