BELLEVUE REGION: DAY ONE – After 3 scoreless Innings the 5th seeded MAYVILLE STATE COMETS took a 2-1 lead over the 4th seeded MADONNA UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS in the 4th. Tyler Leibert pitched the Comets to a 6-1 victory.     ###      Next the 2 seeds – the BELLEVUE UNIVERSITY BRUINS – trailed the 3rd seeded WILLIAM WOODS UNIVERSITY OWLS 2-0 from the 3rd Inning on until their bats got hot in the 9th for a 3-2 win. Steve Sarcone was the winning Pitcher.     ###      And the top seeded TABOR COLLEGE BLUE JAYS converted a 2-0 1st Inning lead into an 8-0 shutout of (5) Mayville State. Tabor’s Russell Longworth got the W.  

DAYTONA BEACH REGION: DAY ONE – The 5 seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE (OH) RED STORM – seized a 3-0 lead in the 2nd Inning on their way to a handy 10-4 rout of the 4th seeded SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY FIRE. Pitcher Trent Downs had the win for the Red Storm.     ###      Next the 2nd seeded EMBRY-RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Aeronauts) managed a thrilling 3-0 victory over the 3rd seeded BRYAN COLLEGE LIONS. Stetson Nelson was the winning Pitcher.      ###      And (5) University of Rio Grande closed out the day with another upset – a HUGE one over the top seeded AUBURN UNIVERSITY AT MONTGOMERY WARHAWKS by a score of 3-2. Daryin Lewis threw for the win.

GRAND RAPIDS REGION: DAY ONE – Yet another 5 seed toppled a 4 seed in this game as the GRAND VIEW UNIVERSITY VIKINGS led the PERU STATE BOBCATS 8-0 by the 4th Inning on their way to a 12-7 win for Pitcher Evan DeCovich.     ###      Next the (2) DAVENPORT UNIVERSITY PANTHERS doubled up on the (3) MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE UNIVERSITY COUGARS in a 10-5 catfight. Corey Murphy had the win.     ###      And the (1) OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY EAGLES led all the way in a 4-1 triumph over (5) Grand View University. C.J. Gregory was OWU’s victorious Pitcher.  

KINGSPORT REGION: DAY ONE – Finally a 4 seed beat a 5 seed as the LSU-ALEXANDRIA GENERALS took down the JUDSON UNIVERSITY EAGLES 9-4 after trailing 2-1 in the 3rd Inning. Hunter Wallace of the Generals got the win.     ###      Next the (2) LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS survived a 5-4 nailbiter against the (3) FREED- HARDEMAN UNIVERSITY LIONS. Chris Erker pitched for the W.     ###      And the (1) TENNESSEE WESLEYAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS came back from a 2-1 deficit in the 4th for a 3-2 victory over (4) LSU-Alexandria. The save went to Logan Longwith.  

LAWRENCEVILLE REGION: DAY ONE – The (4) SAINT CATHARINE COLLEGE PATRIOTS compiled 9 runs to the 4 put up by the (5) SPRING ARBOR UNIVERSITY COUGARS. Austin Willis- Greene threw for the win.     ###      After that the (3) SAINT THOMAS (FL) UNIVERSITY BOBCATS converted a 2-0 1st Inning edge into a 5-0 shutout upset of the (2) WESTMONT COLLEGE WARRIORS. Marcos Barrios was the winning Pitcher.     ###      And the top seeded GEORGIA GWINNETT COLLEGE GRIZZLIES trailed (4) St Catharine College 3-0 in the 1st and 3-2 in the 6th before storming ahead for an ELEVEN to FIVE triumph. Christian Turnipseed got the save for the Grizzlies.

MONTGOMERY REGION: DAY ONE – The (4) LYON COLLEGE SCOTS led the (5) UNIVERSITY OF SAINT FRANCIS (IL) FIGHTING SAINTS 2-0 in the 3rd Inning and 5-0 in the 7th enroute to a 9-3 win. Griffin Glaude got the W.     ###      Next a 2-2 tie in the 7th became a 6-2 upset victory for the (3) CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TIGERS over the (2) NORTHWOOD (FL) UNIVERSITY SEA HAWKS. Casey Congleton was the winning Pitcher.     ###      And the (1) FAULKNER UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Furies) absolutely eviscerated (4) Lyon College in a SEVENTEEN to TWO laugher. Jack Charleston got credited with the win.  

OKLAHOMA CITY REGION: DAY ONE – The (4) MISSOURI BAPTIST UNIVERSITY SPARTANS trailed 4-2 in the 7th Inning but came back for a 6-4 victory over the (5) DAKOTA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY TIGERS. Marcus Crescentini had the save for the Spartans.     ###      After that the (2) CONCORDIA (CA) EAGLES (should be the Condors) rode a 2-0 lead in the 3rd to a 2-1 win over the (3) YORK COLLEGE PANTHERS. Pitcher Isaiah Terrazas got the W.     ###      And (4) Missouri Baptist University was locked in a 4-4 tie in the 4th with the (1) OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY STARS that lasted until they emerged with a 5-4 triumph in the THIRTEENTH Inning. This time Renaissance Pitcher Marcus Crescentini took the mound again and got the win.  

SANTA CLARITA REGION: DAY ONE – The (4) VANGUARD UNIVERSITY LIONS notched a thrilling 6-4 victory over the (5) CAL STATE AT SAN MARCOS COUGARS. Sean Isaac was the winning Pitcher.     ###      Next the (3) UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA THUNDERBIRDS won a 4-2 nailbiter over the (2) UNIVERSITY OF NORTHWESTERN OHIO RACERS. Alex Webb threw for the win.     ###      And (4) Vanguard University pulled off a tense 8-7 upset of the top seeded MASTER’S COLLEGE MUSTANGS. Michael Ostrea got the W.

SHAWNEE REGION: DAY ONE – The (5) MIDAMERICA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY PIONEERS started the day off with a TEN to TWO clobbering of the (4) BRIAR CLIFF UNIVERSITY CHARGERS. Santiago Romero pitched all 9 Iron Man Innings for the Pioneers.     ###      After that the (3) STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS won a 1-0 pitcher’s duel with the (2) LSU-SHREVEPORT PILOTS (Riverboat Pilots). Blake Oliver got the W.     ###      And the (1) OKLAHOMA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY BISON took a 7-4 game over (5) MidAmerica Nazarene University. Kyle Fimbrez was the winning Pitcher.

CENTRAL DISTRICT  – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The two teams left standing in this District were the 3rd seeded DODGE CITY COLLEGE CONQUISTADORS and the top seeds – the COWLEY COLLEGE TIGERS. After 2 scoreless Innings the Conquistadors seized a 5-0 lead over the Tigers in the 3rd. Dodge City College put up 2 more runs while limiting Cowley College to just 1 run total for a 7-1 victory. Pitcher Luke Crabb got the win. * THE CONQUISTADORS ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA1 WORLD SERIES *

SOUTHERN DISTRICT – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The site of this game was Constellation Field in Sugar Land, TX as the SAN JACINTO COLLEGE- NORTH GATORS squared off against the ANGELINA COLLEGE ROADRUNNERS. This game was a thriller but in the end the Gators walked away with a 4-1 triumph. San Jacinto College- North’s Riley Smith pitched for the win. * THE GATORS ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA1 WORLD SERIES FOR A RECORD 23rd TIME *  

SOUTHWEST DISTRICT – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The teams going at it for this District’s title were the MCLENNAN COLLEGE HIGHLANDERS and the ODESSA COLLEGE WRANGLERS. The Highlanders thoroughly dominated this game, slamming in runs in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 8th and 9th Innings while holding the Wranglers to just 2 runs in the 6th Inning. This TEN to TWO victory was awarded to Pitcher Jack Finnegan. * THE HIGHLANDERS ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA1 WORLD SERIES *
