2014 COLLEGE WORLD SERIES TEAMS FROM THE NJCAA (ALL THREE DIVISIONS)

May 24th will see the opening pitch in the College World Series for all three levels of NJCAA baseball. Here’s a look at the participating teams.

* NJCAA DIVISION ONE *

NORTHERN DISTRICT

IOWA WESTERN COLLEGE REIVERS

2014 Record: 51-11

District Title Game: Defeated the Wabash Valley College Warriors 9-3. 

Other District Teams: Kaskaskia College Blue Angels, Triton College Trojans and Marshalltown College Tigers.

WESTERN DISTRICT

COCHISE COLLEGE APACHES

2014 Record: 40-29

District Title Game: Defeated the South Mountain College Cougars 12-11

Other District Teams: Otero College Rattlers, Western Nevada College Wildcats, Salt Lake City College Bruins and the Trinidad College Trojans.

SOUTHWEST DISTRICT

MIDLAND COLLEGE CHAPARRALS

2014 Record: 40-23

District Title Game: Defeated the McLennan College Highlanders 11-6.

Other District Teams: Frank Phillips College Plainsmen, Temple College Leopards, New Mexico College Thunderbirds, Howard (TX) College Hawks and the North Central Texas College Lions.  

GULF DISTRICT

MIAMI-DADE COLLEGE SHARKS

2014 Record: 35-15

District Title Game: Defeated the Polk State Eagles 4-2.

Other District Teams: Gulf Coast State Commodores, College of Central Florida Patriots, Chipola College Indians and the Eastern Florida State Titans.

EAST CENTRAL DISTRICT

COLUMBIA STATE CHARGERS

2014 Record: 44-11

District Title Game: Defeated the Darton State Cavaliers 5-1.

Other District Teams: Motlow State Bucks, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Stallions, Georgia Perimeter College Jaguars, Gordon College Highlanders, South Georgia State Hawks and the Middle George State Knights.

SOUTHERN DISTRICT

BLINN COLLEGE BUCCANEERS

2014 Record: 34-26

District Title Game: Defeated the Alvin College Dolphins 12-4.

Other District Teams: Galveston College Whitecaps, Panola College Ponies, Angelina College Roadrunners, Navarro College Bulldogs, Paris (TX) College Dragons and the San Jacinto College Coyotes.

SOUTH CENTRAL DISTRICT

DELGADO COLLEGE DOLPHINS

2014 Record: 43-11

District Title Game: Defeated the Seminole State College Trojans 7-6.

Other District Teams: Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Golden Norsemen, Crowder College Roughriders, Mineral Area College Cardinals and the Meridan College Eagles.

EASTERN DISTRICT

SPARTANBURG METHODIST COLLEGE PIONEERS

2014 Record: 46-16 

District Title Games: Swept the University of South Carolina at Sumter Fire Ants 5-4 and 7-2. 

Other District Teams: ASA College Avengers, Potomac State Catamounts, Harford College Fighting Owls, Louisburg College Hurricanes and the Monroe College Mustangs. 

CENTRAL DISTRICT

JOHNSON COUNTY COLLEGE CAVALIERS

2014 Record: 50-12

District Title Games: Swept the Kansas City (KS) College Blue Devils 8-0 and 2-1.

Other District Teams: Hutchinson College Blue Dragons, Dodge City College Conquistadors, Fort Scott Greyhounds, Garden City College Broncbusters, Allen College Red Devils and the Cloud County College Thunderbirds. 

SOUTHEASTERN DISTRICT

CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY COLLEGE PIRATES

2014 Record: 47-9

District Title Game: Defeated the Alabama Southern College Eagles 11-5. 

Other District Teams: Faulkner State Sun Chiefs, Enterprise State Boll Weevils, Volunteer State Pioneers, Marion Military Institute Tigers, Lawson State Cougars and the Lurleen B Wallace College Saints.

MIDWEST DISTRICT

LINCOLN LAND COLLEGE LOGGERS

2014 Record: 44-15

District Title Game: Defeated the Danville Area College Jaguars 7-6.

Other District Teams: John A Wood College Trail Blazers, Parkland College Cobras, Illinois Central Cougars and the Heartland College Hawks.

NORTH PLAINS DISTRICT

SOUTHEASTERN (IA) COLLEGE BLACKHAWKS

2014 Record: 44-15

District Title Game: Defeated the Southeast College Storm 9-4. 

Other District Teams: Williston State Tetons, Bismark State Mystics, Lake Region State Royals, Dakota Tech Blue Knights, Dakota College at Bottineau Lumberjacks, Miles College Pioneers and the Des Moines Area College Bears. 

SOUTHEAST DISTRICT

PASCO-HERNANDO STATE CONQUISTADORS

2014 Record: 25-16

District Title Game: Defeated the Southeastern College at Whiteville Rams 9-2.

Other District Teams: Lenoir College Lancers, Patrick Henry College Patriots, Surry College Knights, Catawba Valley College Buccaneers and the Wake Tech Eagles.  

PLAINS DISTRICT

NORTHERN OKLAHOMA COLLEGE JETS

2014 Record: 38-21

District Title Game: Defeated the Hesston College Larks 1-0 in 12 Innings. 

Other District Teams: Wentworth Military Academy Red Dragons, Murray State (OK) College Aggies (I say they should change it to Okies), Metropolitan College- Longview Lakers and the Brown- Mackie College Lions.  

NORTH DISTRICT

VINCENNES UNIVERSITY TRAILBLAZERS

2014 Record: 42-16

District Title Game: Defeated the Kellogg College Bruins 14-1.

Other District Teams: Sinclair College Tartan Pride, Muskegon College Jayhawks, Jackson College Jets, Delta College Pioneers and the Mott College Bears. 

SOUTHWEST DISTRICT

MESA COLLEGE THUNDERBIRDS

2014 Record: 47-12

District Title Games: Swept the Scottsdale College Fighting Artichokes 8-2 and 4-3. 

Other District Teams: Gateway College Geckos, Tohono O’odham Jegos and the Utah State University- College of Eastern Utah Golden Eagles. 

NORTH CENTRAL DISTRICT

MADISON COLLEGE WOLFPACK

2014 Record: 42-15

District Title Games: Defeated the Kankakee College Cavaliers 11-4.

Other District Teams: Black Hawk College Braves, McHenry College Scots, Prairie State Pioneers, Oakton College Raiders and the Elgin College Spartans.

 EAST DISTRICT

WESTCHESTER COLLEGE VIKINGS

2014 Record: 33-15

District Title Games: Swept the Mercyhurst University- Northeast Saints 6-3 and 9-2.   

Other District Teams: University of Connecticut at Avery Point Pointers, College of Rhode Island Knights, Genesee College Cougars and the SUNY- Orange County Broncos.

HINDS COLLEGE EAGLES

2014 Record: 35-19

District Title Game: Defeated the Jones College Bobcats 7-4. 

Other District Teams: LSU- Eunice Bengals, Northwest Mississippi College Rangers, Pearl River College Wildcats, Copiah- Lincoln College Wolfpack and the Baton Rouge College Bears. 

NORTHEAST DISTRICT

MERCER COUNTY COLLEGE VIKINGS

District Title Games: Swept the Cecil College Seahawks 1-0 and 3-2.  

Other District Teams: Lackawanna College Falcons, Frederick College Cougars and the Delaware Tech Roadrunners.

2014 Record: 37-9

District Title Game: Defeated the Onondaga College Lazers (sic) 9-3.

Other District Teams: Niagara College Thunderwolves and the Erie College Kats.  

DISTRICT B

WAUBONSEE COLLEGE CHIEFS

2014 Record: 37-23

District Title Game: Defeated the Joliet College Wolves 7-3. 

Other District Teams: Milwaukee Tech Stormers, College of DuPage Chaparrals, Harper College Hawks and the Rock Valley College Golden Eagles. 

DISTRICT C

TYLER COLLEGE APACHES

2014 Record: 38-17

District Title Game: Defeated the Eastfield College Harvesters 11-1

Other District Teams: North Lake College Blazers, Coastal Bend College Cougars and the North Arkansas College Pioneers. 

DISTRICT D

PRINCE GEORGE’S COLLEGE OWLS

2014 Record: 21-12

District Title Game: Defeated the Westmoreland College Wolfpack 8-1.

District Title Game: Defeated the Century College Wood Ducks 6-3. 

Other District Teams: Rainy River College Voyageurs, Rochester Tech Yellow Jackets, Riverland College Blue Devils and the Northland Tech Pioneers.

SUFFOLK COLLEGE SHARKS

2014 Record: 22-10

District Title Game: Defeated the Nassau College Lions 

Other District Teams: Hostos College Caimans, Sullivan College Generals, Globe Tech Knights and the Bronx College Broncos.  

DISTRICT G

CUMBERLAND COUNTY COLLEGE DUKES

2014 Record: 46-8

District Title Game: Defeated the Gloucester College Roadrunners (defending champions) 11-4. 

Other District Teams: Brookdale College Jersey Blues, Bucks County College Centurions, Williamson Trade School Mechanics and the College of Morris Titans.

NORTHERN ESSEX COLLEGE KNIGHTS

District Title Game: Defeated the Massasoit College Warriors 8-2.
