NAIA FOOTBALL CHAMPS DEFEAT THE NCAA FOOTBALL CHAMPS AGAIN

Morningside MustangsBalladeer’s Bowl always pits the NAIA football champs against the NCAA D3 football champs. The results are in, and – after two years in a row in which the D3 champs won – the NAIA champs got the victory. The MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE MUSTANGS defeated the UNIVERSITY OF MARY HARDIN-BAYLOR CRUSADERS in Balladeer’s Bowl IX.

The voting ended today and the Mustangs won it 242 to 196. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MUSTANGS, THE WINNERS OF BALLADEER’S BOWL IX.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NAIA AND NCAA D2 CHAMPS CROWNED

Another college football season came to a close here at Balladeer’s Blog with the two final National Championship Games in the Divisions covered here.

Morningside MustangsCHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The last two teams standing in the NAIA were the MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE MUSTANGS and the BENEDICTINE COLLEGE RAVENS. “No more choking” seemed to be the Mustangs’ slogan this postseason as they closed the deal. It wasn’t a sure thing, though, as a 14-14 1st Quarter tie turned into a 20-14 lead for the Ravens come Halftime. Continue reading →
