HIGH SCHOOL CAESAR (1960)

I was in the mood so I wrote up a review of the 1960 Juvenile Delinquent classic High School Caesar.

HIGH SCHOOL CAESAR (1960) Category: Bad, youth-oriented 1960 movie that is incredibly campy   This movie may have a 1960 release date but it is the most classically campy example of the Juvenile Delinquent movies of the 1950’s.

High School Caesar renders itself even more laughable than other Juvenile Delinquent films with its wonderfully absurd premise.

Yes, this movie takes its cue from the Edward G Robinson gangster movie Little Caesar and depicts the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency as if it’s a High School ROTC version of organized crime. The title character is a kind of leather-jacketed Don Corleone overseeing a high school operation involving hallway protection rackets, rigged student elections and a black market of stolen exam answers. In recent years even slimy politicians like Republican Orrin Hatch (Motto: “A 21st Century man with a 19th Century worldview”) and Democrat Barack Obama (Motto: “The first demagogue in history to be utterly helpless without a teleprompter”) have tried to wrangle votes by endorsing a playoff for NCAA Division 1A football. I know we’re supposed Continue reading →

The Sailfish women’s soccer team dominated the field at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) South Regional this weekend as they closed out their second consecutive region championship with a 5-0 win over Southeastern University as they will once again represent the South Region at the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida in early December.

Senior Angie Kuhn did as she has done all season which has been leading the Sailfish offensive attack. The North Fort Myers, Florida native tallied a hat trick with two goals in the first-half and another in the second-half as PBA scored early and often. Continue reading →
