NAIA OVER NCAA DIV TWO – Yet another of the 2026 season’s Upsets by an NAIA football team – the WARNER UNIVERSITY ROYALS – over a D2 team – the CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY PANTHERS. The Royals led their hosts 10-0, 17-3 and 25-10 in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Quarters, respectively. In the 4th Warner U. consummated the Upset 32-10.
SPIRIT OF EIGHTY-TWO – Staying with the NAIA for a moment, the SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE MOUNDBUILDERS took it on the road against the BETHANY COLLEGE SWEDES. The Moundbuilders folded, spindled and mutilated Bethany College, converting their 28-0 1st Quarter lead into a 55-0 advantage at the Half. In the end, Southwestern College won EIGHTY-TWO to SIXTEEN!
TUSSLE IN THE TOP THREE – The NAIA’s number 3 team – the COLLEGE OF IDAHO COYOTES – welcomed the number 2 MONTANA TECH OREDIGGERS. By Halftime the Coyotes held a 28-19 lead over Montana Tech. After the break, the College of Idaho added 7 more points to topple the Orediggers 35-19.
KNOCKING OFF NUMBER FIVE – Over in NCAA Division 2, the UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA BRONCOS took the field against the visiting 5th ranked NORTHWEST MISSOURI STATE BEARCATS. The Bearcats were up 14-13 at the midpoint but got shut out from there. The Broncos came back to win the game 19-14.
NUMBER TEN TAKES A FALL – Also in D2, the nation’s number 21 NORTHWOOD UNIVERSITY TIMBERWOLVES traveled to face the 10th ranked UNIVERSITY OF FINDLAY OILERS. A 14-3 Timberwolves advantage in the 1st Quarter was unchanged at Halftime. From there, Northwood outscored the Oilers 20-8 for a 34-11 triumph.
HILLSDALE HOME STAND – In this game the storied HILLSDALE COLLEGE CHARGERS entertained the THOMAS MORE UNIVERSITY SAINTS. The Chargers were on top 21-0 at the Half. They were up 28-7 in the 3rd Quarter before winning out over Thomas More University 38-7.

UNDER THE RADAR CLASSICS – The SIMPSON UNIVERSITY REDHAWKS won a 50-45 shootout against the visiting VALLEY CITY STATE VIKINGS. ### Meanwhile, the BLUEFIELD COLLEGE RAMBLING RAMS edged the VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY OF LYNCHBURG DRAGONS 30-26 ### And the MCPHERSON COLLEGE BULLDOGS (should be Mastiffs) won 14-10 at the OTTAWA (KS) BRAVES.
OFF THE SCHNEID – This game pitted the THOMAS UNIVERSITY NIGHTHAWKS against their guests the ANDREW COLLEGE FIGHTING TIGERS. A 16-0 1st Quarter lead for the Nighthawks became a 29-14 lead by Halftime. The 3rd Quarter ended in a 36-21 Thomas University advantage and the 4th in a 43-34 Nighthawks victory.
BLOWOUTS – The SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY FIRE welcomed the UNIVERSITY OF FT. LAUDERDALE EAGLES (should be Flamingos) and scorched them 45-14 ### The AKANSAS BAPTIST COLLEGE BUFFALOES won 24-9 against the LANGSTON UNIVERSITY LIONS ### And the AVE MARIA UNIVERSITY GYRENES beat the TRINITY COLLEGE OF FLORIDA TIGERS 45-7.

OTHER UPSETS IN THE RANKINGS – The MINNESOTA STATE AT MOORHEAD DRAGONS downed the number 12 UM-DULUTH BULLDOGS 23-20 in Overtime ### Elsewhere, the WINONA STATE WARRIORS edged the (16) AUGUSTANA (SD) VIKINGS 42-41 ### And the MARS HILL LIONS won 10-6 at the (22) CARSON-NEWMAN EAGLES.
THIS GAME WAS FOR THE BIRDS – The FRANKLIN PIERCE UNIVERSITY RAVENS played host to the BENTLEY UNIVERSITY FALCONS. A 7-7 1st Quarter tie became a 21-7 Falcons lead at the midpoint. The Ravens tied things up 21-21 in the 3rd Quarter, then triumphed 35-28 in the 4th.
ALL NAME GAMES – The UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS AT MONTICELLO BOLL WEEVILS defeated the ARKANSAS TECH WONDERBOYS 30-27 ### Next, the SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE SAVAGE STORM shut out the SOUTHERN NAZARENE UNIVERSITY CRIMSON STORM 35-0 ### And the LINCOLN (MO) BLUE TIGERS edged the UPPER IOWA UNIVERSITY PEACOCKS 34-32.

UPSETS IN THE RANKINGS – The only Upset in the D3 rankings yesterday came in the game between the 17th ranked CHRISTOPHER NEWPORT UNIVERSITY CAPTAINS and their hosts the number 14 SUSQUEHANNA UNIVERSITY RIVERHAWKS. The Captains shut out Susquehanna while putting up 7 points each in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Quarters for a 21-0 victory.
WORKING OVERTIME – The ALVERNIA UNIVERSITY GOLDEN WOLVES defeated the LEBANON VALLEY COLLEGE FLYING DUTCHMEN 13-10 in Double Overtime ### And the MORAVIAN COLLEGE GREYHOUNDS needed an Extra Session to win 19-16 at the WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY PIONEERS.
COOL NAME BOWLS – The HIRAM COLLEGE TERRIERS won 32-19 at the THIEL COLLEGE TOMCATS ### Elsewhere, the CLAREMONT-MUDD-SCRIPPS COLLEGE STAGS triumphed 22-10 at the POMONA-PITZER COLLEGE SAGEHENS ### And the DENISON COLLEGE BIG RED beat the OHIO WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY BATTLING BISHOPS 21-14.

TIGHT GAME – The METHODIST UNIVERSITY MONARCHS visited the NEWPORT NEWS APPRENTICE SCHOOL BUILDERS (Shipbuilders). The Monarchs were up 7-2 in the opening Quarter and 14-9 at the break. The 3rd Quarter saw the Builders go on top 22-21, but Methodist University went back up 27-22 in the 4th.
INSTANT CLASSIC – In this game the CLAYTON STATE LAKERS took the field against the visiting WESTGATE CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY GOLD RAVENS. The two teams went blow for blow and score for score nearly all game long before the Lakers triumphed 43-37.
HOME AND AWAY – Home: The SOUTH CAROLINA CENTRAL CHRISTIAN COLLEGE GLADIATORS welcomed the NORTH CAROLINA GORILLAS yesterday and clobbered them 38-16 ### Away: The JACKSONVILLE ACADEMY MOCS (Moccasins) won 14-8 at the ATLANTIS UNIVERSITY ATLANTEANS.
NOTE: The LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE MAKOS (as in the sharks) logged a Forfeit Win over the TALLADEGA COLLEGE TORNADOES.

TWO OVER ONE – The nation’s number 2 team – the HUTCHINSON COLLEGE BLUE DRAGONS – welcomed the number 1 IOWA WESTERN COLLEGE REIVERS. The Blue Dragons put up points every Quarter while blanking Iowa Western College. Hutchinson won the game 26-0.
HAPPY HOMESTANDS – The DODGE CITY COLLEGE CONQUISTADORS played host to the (10) IOWA CENTRAL COLLEGE TRITONS and defeated them by a final tally of 38-24 ### And the BUTLER (KS) GRIZZLIES kept the HIGHLAND COLLEGE SCOTTIES winless, beating them 37-21.
ROAD RAGE – This game saw the COLLEGE OF DUPAGE CHAPARRALS travel to face the VERMILLION COLLEGE IRONHAWKS. The Chaparrals utterly eviscerated the Ironhawks by a humiliating final score of EIGHTY-TWO to NOTHING.

KNOCKING OFF NUMBER FOUR – This game pitted the 8th ranked SOUTHWESTERN (CA) COLLEGE JAGUARS against the visiting number 4 SAN DIEGO MESA COLLEGE OLYMPIANS. A 21-21 Halftime tie became a 35-35 deadlock to end the 4th Quarter. After THREE OVERTIMES, the Jaguars won 44-42.
THRILLERS – The MONTEREY PENINSULA COLLEGE LOBOS managed a 27-26 victory at the COLLEGE OF THE REDWOODS CORSAIRS ### Next, the EL CAMINO COLLEGE WARRIORS survived a 36-33 visit from the MT. SAN JACINTO COLLEGE EAGLES ### And the CITRUS COLLEGE OWLS defeated the SANTA ANA COLLEGE DONS 31-28.
ROAD WARRIORS – The CHABOT COLLEGE GLADIATORS visited the MERCED COLLEGE BLUE DEVILS. The Gladiators seized a quick 21-7 lead in the opening Quarter and never looked back from there. When the dust settled, the Gladiators had smacked down Merced College 54-20.
