BALLADEER’S BLOG’S COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS: THE 2026 SEASON IS UNDERWAY!

CHAR-BROILED – The number 2 team in the nation – the HUTCHINSON COLLEGE BLUE DRAGONS – welcomed the CISCO COLLEGE WRANGLERS. The Blue Dragons proceeded to fold, spindle and mutilate Cisco College, leading them 21-0 to end the 1st Quarter, 42-7 at Halftime, and 52-7 in the 3rd Quarter before logging a FIFTY-NINE to SEVEN triumph over the Wranglers in the 4th.

ANOTHER ROSWELL INCIDENT – In Roswell, NM the NEW MEXICO MILITARY INSTITUTE BRONCOS (should be Cavalry) took the field against the visiting DODGE CITY COLLEGE CONQUISTADORS. The Conquistadors led the Institute 7-3 in the opening Quarter, but the Broncos went up 23-20 by the Half. The 3rd Quarter ended with NMMI leading 30-20 before winning out 37-20 in the end.

INSTANT CLASSIC – This game saw the COLLEGE OF DUPAGE CHAPARRALS host the HIGHLAND COLLEGE SCOTTIES. The Chaparrals held a tight 7-6 edge in the 1st Quarter, then 21-19 going into the midpoint. The College of DuPage advantage over the Scotties became 31-25 to end the 3rd Quarter. In the 4th, the Chapparals held on against Highland College to win the game 34-32.

TUSSLE IN THE TOP TEN – The number 4 team in the nation – the TYLER COLLEGE APACHES – battled the visiting number 10 GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE BULLDOGS. The 1st Half came to a close with the Apaches clinging to a 14-13 lead over GMC. That became a 20-17 advantage for the Bulldogs in the 3rd but the 4th Quarter saw Tyler College come back to take the game 30-20.   

WHEN RANKED TEAMS CLASH – The country’s 9th ranked SNOW COLLEGE BADGERS were defending their home field against the number 14 GARDEN CITY COLLEGE BRONCBUSTERS. The Badgers were out in front of Garden City 7-3 in the opening Quarter and 17-10 come Halftime. The Broncbusters knotted things up at 17-17 in the 3rd Quarter but Snow College pulled away in the 4th for a 31-17 victory.  

ROAD RAGE – Up next, the ELLSWORTH COLLEGE PANTHERS traveled to take on the MINNESOTA WEST TECHNICAL COLLEGE BLUE JAYS. The Panthers dominated Minnesota West Tech on both sides of the ball from the start of the game to the finish. When all of the dust had settled, Ellsworth College had mauled the Blue Jays to the tune of FIFTY to SIX.

WIN IT IN THE FOURTH – This game pitted the BLINN COLLEGE BUCCANEERS against their guests, the KILGORE COLLEGE RANGERS. Kilgore College led the Buccaneers 7-0 and 10-6 in the 1st and 2nd Quarters, respectively. Blinn College made it a 20-20 tie in the 3rd Quarter before winning out 34-20 from there.   

THE TEXAS GRIDIRON MASSACRE – The 12th ranked NAVARRO COLLEGE BULLDOGS were against the visiting COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE SAINTS. The opening Quarter ended with the Saints on top 13-7 but Navarro College took over from there. At Halftime the Bulldogs led 42-13 and after the break they piled up even more points on their way to a SIXTY-SIX to THIRTEEN blowout of CCC.

THE FAMILIAR OLD CONFLICT FROM ANCIENT ROME – On August 16th, the earliest game of 2026 saw the DETROIT COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE LIONS face their hosts, the SOUTH CAROLINA CENTRAL CHRISTIAN COLLEGE GLADIATORS. For the most part this was a defensive struggle, with both teams having to fight for yards and points. In the end the Lions won 12-0.

WHILE THE REST OF THE NEW SOUTH ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SLEPT – Yes, SCCCC managed to get two games under their belts for the 2026 season before the rest of the league could squeeze in even ONE! On August 22nd the JACKSONVILLE ACADEMY MOCCASINS (as in snakes) played the visiting SOUTH CAROLINA CENTRAL CHRISTIAN COLLEGE GLADIATORS and clobbered them 44-19.
