Begs a comment but I have work to do. How about passing one law?: Holding public office is a no-trial felony with a mandatory life sentence at hard labor. Radical. Might work. Start from scratch. Run for office? Fine. Zero pay for any office and all fiscal transactions in your family must pass through a blind trust. Fiscal corruption = mandatory life in the Gulag at hard labor.
Hilarious! If only … In ancient Athenian democracy whenever a figure left an office where they had had access to the public treasury they went through a hearing where they had to account for their expenditures. You’ll notice that was something our founding fathers did NOT adopt from the ancient Greeks.
