I’m seeing connections between the attacks on education and what Muslims did in the 1100’s. Their brilliant scientists–arguably world leaders–were muffled in the name of religion (for us, I think it’s simply power).
Oh, definitely. The people pushing this nonsense today are as fanatical and intolerant as the worst religious zealots ever were.
