USCAA DIVISION TWO
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The 5 seeds – the SOUTHERN MAINE COLLEGE SEAWOLVES – and the 7th seeded JOHNSON & WALES UNIVERSITY AT CHARLOTTE WILDCATS played for the title in Division Two of the USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association).
The Seawolves were on top 36-28 at Halftime, but then had to hold on tight against a furious Wildcats rally after the break. In the end Southern Maine College won out in this 79-75 thriller. Zachary Mickle led the Seawolves with 20 points while two of his teammates notched Double-Doubles – Ian Regan with 15 points & 10 rebounds, and Anderson Kavutse with 12 points & 10 rebounds. * THE SEAWOLVES ARE CHAMPIONS OF USCAA DIVISION TWO *
NCCAA DIVISION TWO
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The last two teams standing in this tournament were the 2nd seeded CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY AT HARRODSBURG PIONEERS and the 4 seeds – the CROWN COLLEGE PURPLE STORM.
The score was knotted up at 39-39 to close the opening Half. From there the Pioneers managed separation from the Purple Storm, ultimately winning the game by a final score of 89-79. Antoine Darby’s 26 points led Campbellsville at Harrodsburg. * THE PIONEERS ARE CHAMPIONS OF NCCAA DIVISION TWO *
NAIA FIRST ROUND
CENTURY CLUB – This game pitted the 4 seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & ARTS OF OKLAHOMA DROVERS – against the 13th seeded LSU-ALEXANDRIA GENERALS.
The Drovers utterly dominated the Generals from start to finish. USAO was leading 47-37 at the midpoint, then left their opponents further and further behind in the 2nd Half. In the end the Drovers won by a Century Club score of 103-84. Cameron Hines tossed in 23 points to lead the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma.
WIND ADVISORY – The 2nd seeded TALLADEGA COLLEGE TORNADOES took the court against the 15 seeds – the WASHINGTON ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY SHOCK.
By Halftime the Tornadoes had compiled a 37-30 advantage. After the break Talladega College kept the Shock at arm’s length as they went on to a 79-70 victory. Twenty-one points from Darryl Baker led the Tornadoes in scoring.
UNEXPECTED THRILLER – In this game the 3 seeds – the MONTANA TECH OREDIGGERS – faced the 14th seeded MID-AMERICA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY EVANGELS.
The Orediggers had their hands full with the determined Evangels, and the Half arrived with the score tied at 30-30. From there Montana Tech managed to outscore MACU 41-37 for a tight 71-67 triumph. Caleb Bellach tossed in 17 points to lead the Orediggers.
PHOENIX RISING – The 7th seeded CUMBERLAND UNIVERSITY PHOENIX went up against the 10 seeds – the WEST VIRGINIA TECH GOLDEN BEARS.
The Phoenix had a laser focus in this game, seizing a 40-30 advantage by Halftime, then keeping up the pressure from there to win by a final tally of 79-65. Leading Cumberland University in scoring was Tavon King with 21 points.

Here is good history. The Celtics were NBA champs during the years of 1959-1969. The Boston greats also won the 1957 Championship. Will this feat ever be repeated by any other franchise?
