MORE CHAMPS FROM COLLEGE BASKETBALL CONFERENCE TOURNAMENTS

college of idaho coyoteCASCADE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The last two teams standing in this conference tourney were the top seeded COLLEGE OF IDAHO COYOTES and the 5 seeds – the SOUTHERN OREGON UNIVERSITY RAIDERS (should be the Sea Gulls).

The Coyotes went on a 16-2 run in the opening Half and dominated the game from there. By Halftime the College of Idaho led SOU 40-27, then went on to win the game by a final tally of 78-55. Jake O’Neil of the Coyotes led his team with 13 points. * THE COYOTES ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE CASCADE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE *  

william penn statesmenHEART OF AMERICA ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The South Division’s top seeds – the WILLIAM PENN UNIVERSITY STATESMEN – took on the North Division’s top seeded EVANGEL UNIVERSITY VALOR.

The Statesmen were out in front 52-47 at the Half, then proceeded to keep the Valor at arm’s length the rest of the way for a 99-91 victory. William Penn University’s Kevion Blaylock led his team with a Double-Double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. * THE STATESMEN ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE HEART OF AMERICA ATHLETIC CONFERENCE *

Loyola WolfpackSOUTHERN STATES ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The top 2 seeds fought it out for the SSAC title in this game as the (1) LOYOLA (LA) UNIVERSITY WOLFPACK faced the (2) TALLADEGA COLLEGE TORNADOES.

At Halftime the score was knotted up at 33-33, following which the Wolfpack outscored the Tornadoes 40-30 for a 73-63 triumph. From Loyola, Myles Burns and Zach Wrightsil each tossed in 21 points to lead their team, with Burns logging 12 rebounds, too, for a Double-Double. * THE WOLFPACK ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE SOUTHERN STATES ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
