Martin Methodist Redhawks BESTNUMBER THREE TAKES A FALL – The MARTIN METHODIST COLLEGE REDHAWKS paid a visit to the number 3 team in the nation – the DALTON STATE ROADRUNNERS. The RedHawks were on top 32-26 come Halftime, then held on by their fingertips for a thrilling 71-70 Upset triumph. Tomonique Marion led Martin Methodist College with 21 points.

menlo college oaks logoOTHER UPSETS IN THE RANKINGS – The MENLO COLLEGE OAKS welcomed the 21st ranked WILLIAM JESSUP UNIVERSITY WARRIORS on Saturday and took them down 91-83    ###    And the THOMAS MORE COLLEGE SAINTS toppled the visiting number 13 UNIVERSITY OF THE CUMBERLANDS PATRIOTS by a final score of 85-71. 

LSU-Alexandria GeneralsCENTURY CLUB – Teams scoring 100 points or more in Regulation: The (8) LSU-ALEXANDRIA GENERALS crushed the OUR LADY OF THE LAKE UNIVERSITY SAINTS 103-73   ###   Meanwhile the ARIZONA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY FIRESTORM won 105-67 at the OTTAWA UNIVERSITY (AZ) SPIRIT   ###   And the PARK UNIVERSITY PIRATES clobbered the HARRIS-STOWE STATE HORNETS 105-77. 

XAVIERLACROSSTOWN CLASSIC – This game pitted the XAVIER UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA GOLD RUSH against the visiting DILLARD UNIVERSITY BLEU DEVILS. The Gold Rush were in charge 48-30 by the Half, then pulled away a little bit more after the break for a comfortable 99-75 victory. Two XULA players had Double-Doubles: William Loyd with 29 points & 12 rebounds, and Makye Richard with 12 points & 10 rebounds.

texas college steers logoUNDER THE RADAR CLASSICS – The TEXAS COLLEGE STEERS won a 79-77 Instant Classic on the road against the JARVIS CHRISTIAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS   ###   The HANNIBAL-LAGRANGE UNIVERSITY TROJANS eked out an 87-86 win at the SAINT LOUIS COLLEGE OF PHARMACY EUTECTICS   ###   And in DOUBLE OVERTIME the (24) CLARKE UNIVERSITY PRIDE outlasted the BENEDICTINE COLLEGE RAVENS 80-74.

Huntington College Foresters logoDOWN GOES NUMBER NINE – The HUNTINGTON UNIVERSITY FORESTERS took it on the road against the number 9 team in the country – the BETHEL (IN) PILOTS (Riverboat Pilots). The Pilots were on top 49-45 at Halftime, but after the break the Foresters outscored Bethel U 38-30 for an 83-79 comeback win. Konner Platt tossed in 26 points to lead Huntington University while teammate Peyton West notched a Double-Double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. 

rochestercollegewarriorsOTHER UPSETS IN THE RANKINGS – The ROCHESTER COLLEGE WARRIORS won 75-61 at the (13) LOURDES UNIVERSITY GRAY WOLVES   ###   Meanwhile the (23) GRACE COLLEGE LANCERS toppled the (15) UNIVERSITY OF SAINT FRANCIS (IN) COUGARS 82-68   ###   And the traveling TAYLOR UNIVERSITY TROJANS brought down the (20) MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE UNIVERSITY COUGARS 94-79.

Ottawa University Braves logoCENTURY CLUB – Teams scoring 100 points or more in Regulation: The OTTAWA UNIVERSITY (KS) BRAVES won a 119-90 shootout at the STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS   ###   The UNIVERSITY OF SAINT FRANCIS (IL) FIGHTING SAINTS routed the TRINITY INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY TROJANS 118-78   ###   And the ALLEN UNIVERSITY YELLOW JACKETS defeated the BLUEFIELD COLLEGE RAMBLING RAMS 106-95. 

Lincoln Christian University Red Lions NEWAII CLASSIC – The Association of Independent Institutions Classic pitted the LINCOLN CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY RED LIONS against the CROWLEY’S RIDGE COLLEGE PIONEERS. The Red Lions let a 49-35 lead at the Half disappear as the Pioneers forced Overtime with a 78-78 tie. In the extra session Lincoln Christian University won out 94-90. Garrett Aeilts led the Red Lions with THIRTY-SIX points.

Haskell Indian Nations University IndiansBATTLE IN THE AIHEC – The HASKELL INDIAN NATIONS UNIVERSITY INDIANS played host to the OGLALA LAKOTA COLLEGE BRAVE HEARTS yesterday. These two foes in the AIHEC (American Indian Higher Education Consortium) went almost blow for blow and basket for basket before the Indians won the game by a final score of 93-86.
