SOUTHERN STATES ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
DAY TWO, GAME ONE: The 8 seeds – the BREWTON-PARKER COLLEGE BARONS – played an elimination game against the 5th seeded BLUE MOUNTAIN COLLEGE TOPPERS. After 2 Scoreless Innings the teams were knotted up at 1-1 in the 3rd.
A 2-2 tie in the 6th Inning became a 3-2 Barons edge in the 7th before the Toppers wound up leading 6-4 in the 8th. In the 9th Brewton-Parker College forced extra Innings with a 6-6 deadlock. Neither team scored in the 10th Inning but the Barons won it 8-6 in the 11th for Pitcher Jacob Johnson.
DAY TWO, GAME TWO: The 2nd seeded MIDDLE GEORGIA STATE KNIGHTS battled the 6 seeds – the WILLIAM CAREY UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS. A scoreless opening Inning was followed by the Knights grabbing a 1-0 lead in the 2nd.
That turned into a 3-1 Middle Georgia State lead by the 4th Inning and 4-2 in the 5th. The Knights added 5 more Runs in the 7th Inning and rode those to a 9-4 triumph. Devan Harriman pitched for the Save.
RIVER STATES CONFERENCE
DAY TWO, GAME ONE: The top seeds – the storied INDIANA UNIVERSITY SOUTHEAST GRENADIERS – took on the 5th seeded ASBURY UNIVERSITY EAGLES. The Grenadiers dominated the entire game and even notched a shutout of the Eagles.
By the 3rd Inning Indiana University Southeast was on top 2-0, followed by a 4-0 lead in the 5th and ultimately a 9-zip victory. Grenadiers Pitcher Chas Adams got the win.
DAY TWO, GAME TWO: In this game the 4th seeded UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE (OH) RED STORM faced the 6 seeds – the MIDWAY UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Destroyers). The score was tied at 2-2 by the end of the 3rd Inning.
A 6-6 deadlock in the 7th became a 7-6 Red Storm edge in the 8th but then a 7-7 tie in the 9th. After a scoreless 10th Inning the University of Rio Grande emerged with an 8-7 win in the 11th. Dylan Shockley was the winning Pitcher.

DAY TWO, GAME ONE: The top seeds – the SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY FIRE – fought it out with the 2nd seeded SAINT THOMAS UNIVERSITY (FL) BOBCATS (should be the Tomcats). The Bobcats seized a quick 3-0 lead over the Fire in the 1st Inning.
In the 4th Inning Southeastern University got on the scoreboard to make it a 3-2 game before Saint Thomas U stretched their lead out to 6-4 in the 5th. The Fire’s bats exploded in the 6th and 7th Innings for an 11-6 advantage but the Bobcats could only muster 1 more Run in the 9th as Southeastern won the game 11-7. Heibert Romero threw for the W.
DAY TWO, GAME TWO: The 6th seeded THOMAS UNIVERSITY NIGHT HAWKS found themselves up against the 4 seeds – the KEISER UNIVERSITY SEAHAWKS. After a scoreless 1st Inning the Night Hawks managed a 1-0 edge in the 2nd.
From there the Thomas University bats caught fire as the team led the Seahawks 7-2 in the 3rd Inning and 9-3 in the 4th on their way to a 12-3 blowout victory. Night Hawks Pitcher Caleb Rogers got the win.
