THANK YOU once again to all of you readers for making Balladeer’s Blog so enjoyable to write. As I always say the weird and controversial items I churn out here mean that readers have to be very secure in their own beliefs not to just take offense and leave.
Here’s a look at Glitternight.com’s eight biggest hits since last June:
MOST POPULAR ANCIENT SCI FI POST OF THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS – That honor goes to THE Nth MAN (1920-1924). Part proto-kaiju, part political allegory, it’s amazing it was never made into a movie. CLICK HERE
MOST POPULAR WILD WEST LEGEND POST FOR FRONTIERADO SEASON – The blog post that won this category was DUSTY DELIA: FEMALE STAGECOACH DRIVER. She was adept with guns, Native American lingo and more. CLICK HERE
MOST POPULAR BLOG POST ABOUT NEW SLOGANS FOR THE DEMOCRATS – The winner here was the second one, DEMOCRATS: MORE NEW SLOGANS. Lots of laughs. CLICK HERE
MOST POPULAR JULY FOURTH SEASONAL POST – That honor goes to THE TYRANNICIDE: COMMERCE RAIDER OF THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR. The high seas adventure was very well-received. CLICK HERE
MOST POPULAR SUPERHERO POST – This was won by my December 21st examination of the very short-lived Atlas-Seaboard Comic Book publishers. For their superhero pantheon CLICK HERE
MOST POPULAR POST ABOUT MOCK TRUMP HEADLINES. All of these garner a lot of laughs but this one stood out from the pack. CLICK HERE
MOST POPULAR MOVIE POST – This was a blowout! My look at THE Neil Breen’s first four cinematic oddities was almost universally loved. If you thought Tommy Wiseau could make you laugh then Neil Breen needs your attention. CLICK HERE
MOST POPULAR BOOK POSTS (NON-ANCIENT SCI FI) – We had a tie here.
One winner was my review of THE TOP SEVEN ROBERT LUDLUM NOVELS. CLICK HERE
The other was my swashbuckling review of THE TOP FIVE HARRY FLASHMAN NOVELS. CLICK HERE
Happy Anniversary!
Thank you very much!
