CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY FIRE and the FREED-HARDEMAN UNIVERSITY LIONS were the last two teams standing in the 2018 College World Series in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics).
The Lions managed a quick 1-0 edge in the 1st Inning and that lead held up until the 4th when the Fire smacked in FIVE runs. The 6th Inning ended with Freed-Hardeman University pulling to within 5-3.
Southeastern University gave up no more runs while adding 1 more for themselves in the 8th Inning before winning the game 6-3. The Fire went unbeated in Series play, the first team to do so since Faulkner U in 2013. Pitcher Eddie Jimenez got the W. * THE FIRE ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS OF THE NAIA *
