Campbellsville Tigers logoDAY TWO, GAME ONE: The 5th seeded CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TIGERS started off Day Two with their game against the 8 seeds – the BLUEFIELD COLLEGE RAMBLING RAMS. The Tigers quickly shot off to a 3-0 lead in the 1st Inning and that score remained unchanged until the 4th, which ended in a 4-1 lead for Campbellsville U. The Rambling Rams gave up 5 more runs in the 5th Inning and the slaughter was in play. The Tigers won the game TWELVE to TWO for Pitcher Nick Johntson (sic).

Southwestern Christian U EaglesDAY TWO, GAME TWO: Up next the 6 seeds – the SOUTHWESTERN CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY EAGLES – took on the 7th seeded OAKLAND CITY UNIVERSITY MIGHTY OAKS. After 2 scoreless Innings the Eagles went up 3-0 in the 3rd. After that  Southwestern Christian University kept the Mighty Oaks off the scoreboard until the 9th Inning while adding runs of their own in the 6th and 7th. Jacob Spencer pitched for the 9-2 Eagles win.

Oklahoma Baptist University Bison BIGDAY TWO, GAME THREE: In this game the top seeded OKLAHOMA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY BISON took the diamond against the 9 seeds – the ECCLESIA COLLEGE LIONS. The Lions managed a 2-0 edge in the 1st Inning but the Bison made it a 2-2 tie in the 2nd. That swelled to 7-2 lead for Oklahoma Baptist University in the 3rd Inning and from there the Bison coasted to a decisive FIFTEEN to THREE triumph over Ecclesia College. A.J. Merkel picked up the win for OBU.

Emmanuel College Lions logoDAY TWO, GAME FOUR: The 2 seeds – the EMMANUEL COLLEGE LIONS – went up against the 3rd seeded BETHESDA (CA) UNIVERSITY FLAMES. A 2-0 Lions lead in the 1st Inning became a 5-0 lead in the 4th and 10-zip in the 5th. The game continued in that vein until Emmanuel College had thoroughly body-slammed the Flames to the tune of TWELVE to ONE! Dalton Kuhn threw for the entire game for the victors.

Hiwassee College TigersDAY TWO, GAME FIVE: The only upset of the day saw the 10th seeded HIWASSEE COLLEGE TIGERS do battle with the 7 seeds – the OAKLAND CITY UNIVERSITY MIGHTY OAKS. After a scoreless 1st Inning the Tigers leapt to a 4-0 lead over the Mighty Oaks in the 2nd. No more runs were scored until the 5th Inning, when Hiwassee College added 2. Oakland City University made it 6-1 in the 6th Inning but sputtered from there as the Tigers grabbed an 8-1 win. Pitcher Jacob Williamson was on the mound for 9 Iron Man Innings for Hiwassee.
