The NAIA’s DAVENPORT UNIVERSITY PANTHERS squared off against the visiting QUINCY UNIVERSITY HAWKS from NCAA Division TWO. This was a true game for the ages, with the Panthers squeezing out a 14-10 upset.

West Texas A&MTHAT WAS NUMBER FIIIIIIVE! – The unranked WEST TEXAS A&M BUFFALOES welcomed the number 5 team in the nation – the MIDWESTERN STATE MUSTANGS. For 4 bruising Quarters these two teams went blow for blow but there could only be one winner. That winner turned out to be the Buffaloes, who dragged down the Mustangs by a score of 35-27.  

Kentucky Christian UNCCAA GAME OF THE WEEK – This time around the Game of the Week in the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) pitted the KENTUCKY CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS against the visiting UNION (KY) BULLDOGS. The Knights made their fans in Grayson, KY very happy with a 21-14 victory.

College of Idaho Coyotes NEW HELMETUPSETS IN THE TOP TWENTY-FIVE – The COLLEGE OF IDAHO COYOTES took the (17) SOUTHERN OREGON UNIVERSITY RAIDERS into Overtime before edging them 44-41   ###    Meanwhile the GRACELAND UNIVERSITY YELLOW JACKETS won a 34-29 thriller against the (19) BENEDICTINE COLLEGE RAVENS   ###   And the CONCORDIA (NE) BULLDOGS toppled the (22) MIDLAND UNIVERSITY WARRIORS 20-14.

Bluefield_WVHAPPY HOMECOMINGS – The BLUEFIELD COLLEGE RAMBLING RAMS celebrated Homecoming with a 28-7 manhandling of the CINCINNATI CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY EAGLES   ###   And the 18th ranked TABOR COLLEGE BLUE JAYS marked their festivities by winning a 32-27 clash with the FRIENDS UNIVERSITY FALCONS.

Arizona Christian Univ helmet GOODUNHAPPY HOMECOMINGS – The ARIZONA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY FIRESTORM doubled-up on their hosts the LYON COLLEGE SCOTS, defeating them by a score of 34-17   ###   And the FAULKNER UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Furies) crashed the party of the BETHEL (TN) WILDCATS, beating them 24-13.

Sterling helmetWE WENT TO A FOOTBALL GAME AND A BASKETBALL GAME BROKE OUT – The number 25 STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS took it on the road against the OTTAWA UNIVERSITY BRAVES yesterday. Defense was apparently optional in this game which saw points fly like shrapnel. In the end the Warriors won out by a score of 65-50.

Evangel CrusadersUNDER THE RADAR CLASSICS – The EVANGEL UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS welcomed the CENTRAL METHODIST UNIVERSITY EAGLES and prevailed against them in a 30-28 Instant Classic    ###    And the DORDT COLLEGE DEFENDERS eked out a 44-43 road victory over the HASTINGS COLLEGE BRONCOS on Military Appreciation Day.


Kentucky_St_OLD1OTHER UPSETS IN THE TOP TWENTY-FIVE – The KENTUCKY STATE THOROBREDS visited the (10) TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY GOLDEN TIGERS and upset them in a 10-9 nailbiter   ###   Meanwhile the SOUTHERN ARKANSAS UNIVERSITY MULERIDERS dragged down their guests the (17) HENDERSON STATE REDDIES 50-24   ###   And the UNIVERSITY OF WEST ALABAMA TIGERS toppled the (24) FLORIDA TECH PANTHERS in a 45-35 catfight.

This Wall Street Bowl ended with the Bears beating the Bulls 11-8. 

Urbana Blue KnightsONE POINT WONDERS – The URBANA UNIVERSITY BLUE KNIGHTS managed a 35-34 road victory over the CHARLESTON (WV) GOLDEN EAGLES   ###    And the NORTHERN STATE WOLVES played host to the SAINT CLOUD STATE HUSKIES, ultimately sneaking past them by a final tally of 29-28.  

Western State Mountaineers helmetSHUTOUTS – Instances of Defensive Perfection yesterday included: The WESTERN STATE MOUNTAINEERS traveled to face the NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY COWBOYS and clobbered them 58-0   ###   The UNIVERSITY OF WEST FLORIDA ARGONAUTS, meanwhile, blanked the SHORTER UNIVERSITY HAWKS 36-zip.
