CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES: The two teams battling it out for the D3 title were the TRINITY (TX) TIGERS and the KEYSTONE COLLEGE GIANTS. The Tigers forced a 2nd game by hammering the Giants FOURTEEN to SIX in the early game! In the decisive Game Two a 3-1 1st Inning lead for Trinity became a 5-3 edge in the 3rd Inning. By the 7th Inning the Tigers led the Giants 8-6 on their way to a 10-7 victory and their first title in baseball. CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: The storied TYLER COLLEGE APACHES took the diamond to play the NORTHERN ESSEX COLLEGE KNIGHTS in this Division’s championship game. After 2 scorelesss Innings the Knights mustered a 3-0 lead in the 3rd, but were shut out from there. The Apaches added 2 runs each in the 5th and 6th Innings to win their third baseball crown in a row, this time by a score of 4-3. Pitcher Jonathan Groff picked up the Save.

DAY FIVE: GAME ONE – The top seeded FAULKNER UNIVERSITY EAGLES(should be the Furies) clashed with the 2nd seeded TENNESSEE WESLEYAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS in a marathon game. The Eagles trailed 1-0 in the 1st Inning but tied the Bulldogs at 1-1 in the 2nd. Tennessee Wesleyan College went on top 3-1 in the 5th Inning and Faulkner University made it 3-3 in the 8th. Neither team scored again until the ELEVENTH INNING, when the Eagles won it 4-3. Pitcher Christian Torres got the Win.
