DAY ONE: GAME ONE – The 5 seeds – the OAKLAND CITY UNIVERSITY MIGHTY OAKS got things rolling with their game against the 4th seeded JUDSON UNIVERSITY EAGLES. After 2 scoreless Innings the Mighty Oaks made it a 1-0 game in the 3rd, then a 2-0 game in the 4th. The Eagles mustered just 1 run in the 9th Inning as Oakland City University secured the 2-1 upset. Pitcher Caleb Wagner got the Win and Dylan Allen the Save.
DAY ONE: GAME TWO – This game pitted the 6th seeded WARNER UNIVERSITY ROYALS against the 3rd seeded SOUTHWESTERN CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY EAGLES. The Eagles held a 6-3 lead by the 2nd Inning but we got two upsets in a row as the Royals grabbed an 8-6 advantage in the 4th Inning. SCU pulled to within 8-7 in the 6th Inning but never scored again as Warner University went on to win 9-7 for Pitcher Cole Roark.
DAY ONE: GAME THREE – Up next the 2nd seeded CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TIGERS did battle with the 7 seeds – the TRINITY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE TROLLS. The Trolls led briefly after grabbing a 1-0 edge in the 1st Inning but that became a 1-1 tie in the 3rd and a 5-1 lead for the Tigers in the 6th. After that Campbellsville U’s bats got even hotter and went to thrash Trinity Christian College ELEVEN to ONE! Tigers Pitcher Nick Przybylek (pronounced “przybylek”) picked up the Win.
