College of St Josephs Vermont Fighting SaintsUNITED STATES COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION  CHAMPIONSHIP – The fourth and final day of the 2016 USCAA World Series found the top seeded COLLEGE OF SAINT JOSEPH’S (sic) FIGHTING SAINTS, who had already advanced to the title game, waiting for their opponents. Those opponents would be the winners of the early game between the 3rd seeded UC-CLERMONT COUGARS and the 2nd seeded ROCHESTER COLLEGE WARRIORS.

That game went for TEN Innings before the Cougars emerged with a 4-3 win to advance to the Championship Game. The Fighting Saints at first had a battle royal on their hands and were clinging to a 5-3 lead in the 3rd Inning. After that CSJ’s bats kept exploding and adding run after run on their way to a FOURTEEN to THREE blowout of UC-Clermont. Derek Osborne pitched 9 Iron Man Innings for the victors.  * THE FIGHTING SAINTS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS OF USCAA BASEBALL *
