USCAA COLLEGE WORLD SERIES DAY THREE

Cincinatti Clermont Cougars logo biggerDAY THREE: GAME ONE – The 3rd seeded UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI AT CLERMONT COUGARS went to bat against the 7th seeded PSU-DUBOIS LIONS in this game. The Cougars shut out the Lions while putting up runs for themselves in the 1st, 2nd and 6th Innings to eliminate PSU-Dubois by a score of 4-0. Pitcher Grant Christman got the Win for UC-Clermont.

Robert Morris Eagles logoDAY THREE: GAME TWO – Next the 5th seeded ROBERT MORRIS UNIVERSITY AT PEORIA EAGLES took on the 8 seeds – the CLEARY UNIVERSITY PROWLING COUGARS. Runs flew like shrapnel in this game as the Eagles seized a 3-1 lead in the 1st Inning. That became a 6-5 lead for RMU-Peoria over the Prowling Cougars in the 2nd Inning and ultimately a 9-8 victory. Cody Dietz got the Win and TR Dunne picked up the save for the Eagles.  

College of St Josephs Vermont Fighting SaintsDAY THREE: GAME THREE – The top seeds – the COLLEGE OF SAINT JOSEPH’S (sic) FIGHTING SAINTS – faced the 2nd seeded ROCHESTER COLLEGE WARRIORS in this clash. The Fighting Saints put up 1 run in the 1st Inning and 2 more in the 3rd while shutting out the Warriors. College of Saint Joseph’s stayed undefeated in Series Play with a 3-0 triumph. Credit Nicholas Burch with the Win and Alan Madsen with the Save.

Cincinatti Clermont Cougars logoDAY THREE: GAME FOUR – In the night game the (3) UC-Clermont Cougars fought it out with the (5) RMU-Peoria Eagles. This was more like a Polo Match than a baseball game as by the 2nd Inning the score was already 5-4 with the Cougars on top. The contest of runs continued from there, ending in an 11-8 victory for UC-Clermont. Kyle Miller was the winning Pitcher.
