AMERICAN MIDWEST CONFERENCE – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The 2nd seeded COLUMBIA (MO) COUGARS had their hands full in this title game with the 5 seeds – the WILLIAM WOODS UNIVERSITY OWLS. After a Battle Royal the Cougars managed to eke out a 77-74 victory. Along the way Columbia also eliminated Harris- Stowe State and Park University. * THE COUGARS ARE AMC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS *
FRONTIER CONFERENCE – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The top two seeds were the last teams remaining in this conference tourney. The top seeded LEWIS-CLARK STATE WARRIORS took the court against the 2 seeds – the CARROLL COLLEGE FIGHTING SAINTS. This exciting game ended with the Warriors defeating the Fighting Saints by a score of 79-70. After a Bye in the First Round, Lewis-Clark State also bounced the University of Great Falls. * THE WARRIORS ARE FRONTIER CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS *
HEART OF AMERICA ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – Meanwhile in the HAAC the 3 seeds – the WILLIAM PENN UNIVERSITY STATESMEN – did battle with the top seeded MID-AMERICA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY PIONEERS. The Statesmen upset the Pioneers in authoritative fashion, winning the game 83-67. Along the way WPU also beat Benedictine College and Peru State. * THE STATESMEN ARE HAAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS *
