OBAMA AND REAGAN: TWO DEMAGOGUES

President’s Day is almost here! Regular readers know how much I despise both Barack Obama (Liberal Democrat) and Ronald Reagan (Conservative Republican) and it’s largely for the same reasons. Consider the following:

Barack Obama is a lying demagogue who spouts nothing but mindless left-wing dogma that panders to the prejudices of his unquestioning Liberal worshippers.

Ronald Reagan was a lying demagogue who spouted nothing but mindless right-wing dogma that pandered to the prejudices of his unquestioning Conservative worshippers.

Barack Obama is supported by comfortable, callous and unfeeling creatures who refuse to acknowledge the genuine pain and suffering caused by his ill-considered policies.

Ronald Reagan was supported by comfortable, callous and unfeeling creatures who refused to acknowledge the genuine pain and suffering caused by his ill-considered policies.

Barack Obama represents everything worth despising about American Liberals.

Ronald Reagan represented everything worth despising about American Conservatives. 

Barack Obama refuses to accept responsibility for his many failures and blames everything on his predecessor as president.

Ronald Reagan refused to accept responsibility for his many failures and blamed everything on his predecessor as president.

Barack Obama has embraced the concept of “ruling through anecdotes and manufactured statistics”.

Ronald Reagan pioneered the concept of “ruling through anecdotes and manufactured statistics.”

Barack Obama keeps repeating the same tired talking points no matter how much reality conflicts with his biased worldview.

Ronald Reagan kept repeating the same tired talking points no matter how much reality conflicted with his biased worldview.

Barack Obama’s thuggish presidency has embodied the idea that the laws mean nothing and that it’s okay to slither your way through life forever on the fringes of a criminal indictment.

Ronald Reagan’s thuggish presidency embodied the idea that “greed is good” and that the pursuit and acquisition of wealth trumped any and all moral or legal considerations.

Barack Obama simple-mindedly views the 21st Century strictly in terms of the issues and conflicts of the 1960’s because he has no ideas of his own.

Ronald Reagan viewed the 1980’s strictly in terms of the paranoid and jingoistic 1950’s because he had no ideas of his own.

Barack Obama sleazily pretends all criticism of him is “racist”.

Ronald Reagan sleazily pretended all criticism of him was “unpatriotic”.

Barack Obama constantly funnels taxpayer money to his crooked cronies.

Ronald Reagan constantly funneled taxpayer money to his crooked cronies.
