NORTH STAR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – The top seeded MAYVILLE STATE COMETS had to face the Cinderella 6 seeds – the DICKINSON STATE BLUE HAWKS – for the NSAA Championship. The Comets were undefeated in tournament play, so even though the Blue Hawks surprised them in Game One by crushing them 10-1 all that did was force a decisive second game. In Game Two Mayville State converted a 1-0 1st Inning lead into a 3-1 edge in the 3rd and 7-1 in the 7th on their way to an 8-1 victory. Tyler Leibert pitched all 9 Iron Man Innings for the Comets. * CONGRATULATIONS TO THE COMETS, THE 2015 CHAMPIONS OF THE NORTH STAR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION *

AMERICAN MIDWEST CONFERENCE

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The 4 seeds – the MISSOURI BAPTIST UNIVERSITY SPARTANS – squared off against the 2nd seeded LYON COLLEGE SCOTS for the AMC title. This game was a classic for fans of old-school baseball. Neither team scored until the 8th Inning when the Scots took a 1-0 edge. The Spartans tied it up at 1-1 in the 9th to force Extra Innings. In the 10th Missouri Baptist University notched a run for the win. Marcus Crescentini was the victorious Pitcher. * CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SPARTANS, THE 2015 CHAMPIONS OF THE AMERICAN MIDWEST TOURNAMENT *

ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT INSTITUTIONS

CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – The 2nd seeded CAL STATE AT SAN MARCOS COUGARS had no losses so far in tournament play, while their opponents, the top seeded GEORGIA GWINNETT COLLEGE GRIZZLIES, already had a loss to their name. Game One was a game for the ages, a 2-1 nailbiter won by the Grizzlies to force a second game. Game Two saw the Cougars take charge, routing Georgia Gwinnett College 11-5. * CONGRATULATIONS TO THE COUGARS, THE 2015 CHAMPIONS OF THE ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT INSTITUTIONS *

HEART OF AMERICA ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The top seeds – the PERU STATE BOBCATS – took on the 3rd seeded MIDAMERICA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY PIONEERS for the HAAC crown. The Pioneers took a 1-0 lead in the 1st Inning which became 3-0 in the 2nd and 4-0 in the 5th. The 6th Inning ended in a 5-1 lead for MidAmerica Nazarene University and after a scoreless 7th the Bobcats tied the game at 5-5 in the 8th. From there neither team scored until Peru State put up another run in the ELEVENTH Inning for a 6-5 triumph. * CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BOBCATS, THE 2015 CHAMPIONS OF THE HEART OF AMERICA ATHLETIC CONFERENCE * 

RED RIVER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – This conference’s title fight came down to these two games between the 2nd seeded OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY STARS and the top seeds – the OKLAHOMA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY BISON. In Game One the Stars stayed alive by defeating the Bison 9-6 to force a second game. In that decisive Game Two Oklahoma City University managed another win, this time by a final score of 7-5. * CONGRATULATIONS TO THE STARS, THE 2015 CHAMPIONS OF THE RED RIVER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE *
