NUMBER FOUR GOES DOWN – The URSINUS COLLEGE BEARS hosted the number 4 team in the nation – the DICKINSON COLLEGE RED DEVILS in a masterpiece of defensive basketball. At Halftime the Bears had managed a 29-26 edge over the Red Devils and when all was said and done Ursinus College won in a 53-50 upset. Malik Draper led the Bears with his 14 points. Remi Janicot logged 15 rebounds.
UPSETS IN THE TOP FIFTEEN – The CARNEGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY TARTANS shocked the 12th ranked WASHINGTON (MO) UNIVERSITY BEARS, upsetting them by an authoritative 72-59 score. Seth Cordts tossed in 22 points in the win. ### In an 11 over 10 upset the BABSON COLLEGE BEAVERS downed the WORCESTER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE ENGINEERS 59-50 in their own house.
UPSETS IN THE TOP TWENTY – The WASHINGTON COLLEGE SHOREMEN toppled the number 16 FRANKLIN & MARSHALL COLLEGE DIPLOMATS in an 81-80 Overtime classic. For the Shoremen Dave Knox and James Drury each scored 19 points plus had 10 and 8 rebounds, respectively. ### The RAMAPO COLLEGE ROADRUNNERS upset the 17th ranked RICHARD STOCKTON COLLEGE OSPREYS in a 52-46 defensive epic ### The WHEATON THUNDER won a 76-68 clash with the (19) ELMHURST BLUE JAYS ### And the DENISON BIG RED upset the (20) WOOSTER SCOTS in a 76-72 Instant Classic.
TRIPLE OVERTIME THRILLER – The NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE PILGRIMS and the homestanding HUSSON UNIVERSITY EAGLES did battle in an exhausting game that lasted through 3 Overtime periods. At Halftime the Pilgrims led the Eagles 42-39 but Regulation ended in an 87-87 tie. After 2 OT’s the score was knotted up at 105-105 but in the 3rd New England College pulled away for a 120-114 victory. Dezron Wilson scored THIRTY-FOUR points for the Pilgrims.
CENTURY CLUB – D3 – Teams scoring 100 or more points in Regulation: The (7) ALBERTUS MAGNUS COLLEGE FALCONS absolutely routed the SUFFOLK UNIVERSITY RAMS by a score of 113-70. Lemar Larsen logged 18 points and 9 rebounds for the Falcons. ### Meanwhile the CABRINI CAVALIERS won a 104-92 road game over the KEYSTONE GIANTS ### And the OHIO WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY BATTLING BISHOPS put up 102 points to the 93 scored by the KENYON COLLEGE LORDS.
BLOWOUTS – The NICHOLS COLLEGE BISON folded, spindled and mutilated the visiting WESTERN NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE GOLDEN BEARS to the tune of NINETY to FORTY-NINE! Irving Eggleston led the Bison with 21 points. ### The CORTLAND STATE RED DRAGONS scorched the FREDONIA STATE BLUE DEVILS 88-53 in their own infernal domain ### And the EMORY UNIVERSITY EAGLES blasted the hapless BRANDEIS UNIVERSITY COWARDS by a score of 89-53.
WORKING OVERTIME – The MARTIN LUTHER COLLEGE KNIGHTS and the NORTH CENTRAL (MN) CARDINALS were tied up at 61-61 to end Regulation. The Knights went on to win 69-68 in the extra session. ### The KNOX COLLEGE PRAIRIE FIRE won an 88-81 OT battle on the road against the LAKE FOREST COLLEGE FORESTERS ### And the STEVENSON MUSTANGS defeated the MESSIAH FALCONS in Overtime 87-81.

HORNETS STING BULLDOGS – The CONCORDIA (AL) COLLEGE HORNETS took it on the road against the SELMA UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS in this USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association) clash. The two close and familiar rivals played their usual hard-fought game but when all the dust had settled the Hornets went back home with a 73-64 victory.
CRUISING TO A VICTORY – The UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE RED STORM built up a 49-29 Halftime lead over their guests, the CARLOW UNIVERSITY CELTICS. After the break the Red Storm just cruised along, ultimately winning by that same 20 point margin – 97-77. Dwayne Bazemore led the Red Storm with his Double Double: 21 points and 14 rebounds.
RAM TOUGH – The HUSTON-TILLOTSON UNIVERSITY RAMS welcomed the PAUL QUINN COLLEGE TIGERS for a hardcourt epic. The action was fast and fierce throughout all 40 minutes but naturally only one team could get the W. In the end that winning team was the Rams by a final score of 68-61.
CENTURY CLUB – USCAA – The EASTERN MAINE COLLEGE GOLDEN EAGLES led the UNIVERSITY OF MAINE AT AUGUSTA MOOSE 57-51 at the break on their way to a 105-104 victory. Brett Deniger’s 31 points led the Golden Eagles. ### And the VAUGHN COLLEGE WARRIORS eviscerated the LANDMARK COLLEGE LANDSHARKS by a score of 110-39 (Yes, 110-39).

PUTTING THE “O” IN OFFENSE – The HARCUM COLLEGE BEARS were playing with a very, VERY large net in their game against the homestanding COUNTY COLLEGE OF MORRIS TITANS. Believe it or not the Bears won this one-sided affair by a final score which turned out to be ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-NINE to SEVENTY-SEVEN.
CENTURY CLUB – The MISSOURI STATE AT WEST PLAINS GRIZZLIES mauled the visiting COLLEGE OF FAITH MIGHTY BELIEVERS to the tune of 116-74. ### The WALTERS STATE SENATORS in the meantime won a much closer 101-91 battle with their guests – the MOTLOW COLLEGE BUCKS.
CENTURY CLUB TWO -The HILL COLLEGE REBELS played host to the SOUTHWESTERN CHRISTIAN COLLEGE RAMS and spanked them 107-75. ### The IOWA WESTERN COLLEGE REIVERS downed the MARSHALLTOWN COLLEGE TIGERS 105-94. ### And the INDIAN HILLS COLLEGE WARRIORS took on the BLACK HAWK COLLEGE-EAST WARRIORS and crushed them 101-76.
OVERTIME BATTLES – The SOUTHWEST TENNESSEE COLLEGE SALUQIS won a thrilling 84-81 Overtime epic against the COLUMBIA STATE CHARGERS. ### The EASTERN ARIZONA COLLEGE GILA MONSTERS edged the TOHONO O’ODHAM COLLEGE JEGOS in a 71-70 OT classic. ### And the DODGE CITY COLLEGE CONQUISTADORS notched an 81-71 road win over the COLBY COLLEGE TROJANS.
INSTANT CLASSICS – The LINCOLN TRAIL COLLEGE STATESMEN managed a tight 97-92 victory over the SOUTHWESTERN ILLINOIS COLLEGE BLUE STORM. ### Meanwhile the TRINIDAD STATE TROJANS survived a 98-94 visit from the EASTERN WYOMING COLLEGE LANCERS. ### And the CLEVELAND STATE COUGARS defeated the CHATTANOOGA STATE TIGERS in a 75-71 catfight.
ROAD WARRIORS – The CAPE FEAR COLLEGE SEA DEVILS logged a thrilling 64-61 road win over the SPARTANBURG METHODIST COLLEGE PIONEERS. ### Meanwhile the NORTH IDAHO COLLEGE CARDINALS eked out a 69-68 victory at the COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN IDAHO GOLDEN EAGLES. ### And the JOHN A LOGAN COLLEGE VOLUNTEERS handed a 94-84 loss to their hosts the WABASH VALLEY COLLEGE WARRIORS.
BLOWOUTS – The ATLANTA METROPOLITAN COLLEGE TRAILBLAZERS thoroughly trounced the visiting CENTRAL GEORGIA TECHNICAL COLLEGE TROJANS to the tune of 86-63. ### The COFFEYVILLE COLLEGE RED RAVENS took it on the road and devastated the LABETTE COLLEGE CARDINALS by a score of 93-65. ### And the VINCENNES UNIVERSITY TRAILBLAZERS annihilated their guests, the SHAWNEE COLLEGE SAINTS, in an 82-46 laugher.
