MID-SOUTH CONFERENCE – In yesterday’s thrilling finale to this league’s tourney the 2nd seeded CUMBERLAND UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS fell to the top seeded GEORGETOWN (KY) COLLEGE TIGERS 5-3 to force a second game. In that decisive title tilt the Bulldogs won a 10 Inning game for the ages by a score of 10-8. Along the way Cumberland University also defeated Lindsey Wilson College and St Catharine College. *** CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BULLDOGS, THE MSC CHAMPS FOR 2014.
CROSSROADS LEAGUE – In a case of Cougar on Cougar violence rivalled only by the old Joan Collins/ Linda Evans catfights on reruns of Dynasty the 3rd seeded SPRING ARBOR UNIVERSITY COUGARS did battle with the top seeded MT VERNON NAZARENE UNIVERSITY COUGARS. The cats from Spring Arbor University won the league crown by a final score of 10-5. Along the way SAU also defeated Indiana Wesleyan University, Marian University and Taylor University. *** CONGRATULATIONS TO THE COUGARS, THE CL CHAMPS FOR 2014.
CHICAGOLAND COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – The 5th seeded HOLY CROSS (IN) COLLEGE SAINTS survived a 7-4 10 Inning epic against the 2nd seeded JUDSON UNIVERSITY EAGLES to force a decisive Game Two for the CCAC title. In that second game the Eagles buckled down and took the win by a score of 10-6. Along the way Judson University also defeated St Xavier University and St Francis (IN). ### CONGRATULATIONS TO THE EAGLES, THE CCAC CHAMPS FOR 2014.
WOLVERINE- HOOSIER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – In the 3 spot the INDIANA TECH WARRIORS defeated the 4th seeded MADONNA UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS 4-3 to advance to the title game. In that game the top seeded DAVENPORT UNIVERSITY PANTHERS edged the (3) Warriors in a 3-2 masterpiece. Along the way the Panthers also defeated Madonna U and Indiana Tech in previous rounds. *** CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PANTHERS, THE WHAC CHAMPS FOR 2014.

SCENIC WEST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – Yesterday the SALT LAKE CITY COLLEGE BRUINS won a 2-1 Instant Classic against the COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN IDAHO GOLDEN EAGLES ### Meanwhile the COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN NEVADA COYOTES fell to the WESTERN NEVADA COLLEGE WILDCATS in an explosive 10-8 clash ### And the Golden Eagles bounced back from their earlier loss to defeat the COLORADO NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE SPARTANS in a 6-5 epic of the diamond.
REGION 110 – The UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA AT SUMTER FIRE ANTS (love that name) took on the LOUISBURG COLLEGE HURRICANES for the Regional title. The Fire Ants ultimately won this game for the ages by a score of 4-2. As USC- Sumter moves on to the District Tournament let’s note the other also-rans from this Region: the Florence- Darlington Tech Stingers, the USC- Lancaster Lancers and the Guilford Tech Titans. *** CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FIRE ANTS, THE REGION 110 CHAMPS FOR 2014.
