APPALACHIAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – On Day Two for this conference tournament the 6th seeded POINT UNIVERSITY SKYHAWKS defeated the 7th seeded MILLIGAN COLLEGE BUFFALOES in a 3-0 shutout ### The 4th seeded ST ANDREWS UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS eliminated the 8th seeded VIRGINIA INTERMONT COLLEGE COBRAS, likewise in a 3-0 blanking ### Meanwhile the 5 seeds – the BRYAN (TN) LIONS shocked the nation with a TWENTY-THREE to SIX annihilation of the top seeded TENNESSEE WESLEYAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS ### And the 2nd seeded REINHARDT UNIVERSITY EAGLES bounced the disappointing 3 seeds – the UNION(KY) BULLDOGS 12-9 in the proverbial “0-2 and a barbecue”.
CHICAGOLAND COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – The top seeded ST FRANCIS (IL) FIGHTING SAINTS remained alive by winning a 12-1 elimination game rout over the 4th seeded ST XAVIER UNIVERSITY COUGARS ### The 5th seeded HOLY CROSS (IN) COLLEGE SAINTS in the meantime upset the 3rd seeded TRINITY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE TROLLS 10-4 ### And the 2nd seeded JUDSON UNIVERSITY EAGLES needed 10 Innings to do it but eliminated the (1) Fighting Saints in a 3-2 Instant Classic.
CROSSROADS LEAGUE – The 4th seeded HUNTINGTON UNIVERSITY FORESTERS upset the top-seeded MT VERNON NAZARENE UNIVERSITY COUGARS in a 4-0 shutout ### Meanwhile the 2nd seeded TAYLOR UNIVERSITY COUGARS fell to the 3rd seeded SPRING ARBOR UNIVERSITY COUGARS in a 5-2 thriller ### And in the rematch the (1) Mt Vernon Cougars eliminated the (4) Huntington Foresters 4-3 in a true epic of the diamond.
MID-SOUTH CONFERENCE – The 3rd seeded ST CATHARINE COLLEGE PATRIOTS won a nailbiting 2-0 elimination game against the 4th seeded SHAWNEE STATE BEARS ### In the 2 spot the CUMBERLAND UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS defeated the top seeded GEORGETOWN (KY) COLLEGE TIGERS 3-2 in a masterful 10 Inning affair ### Then those (1) Tigers went on to bounce the (3) Patriots by doubling up on them 4-2.
WOLVERINE- HOOSIER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – The 5 seeds – the AQUINAS COLLEGE SAINTS eliminated the 6th seeded CONCORDIA (MI) CARDINALS by a score of 6-2 ### Next the 4th seeded MADONNA UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS upset the 2nd seeded UNIVERSITY OF NORTHWESTERN OHIO RACERS in a 3-1 elimination game ### The top seeded DAVENPORT UNIVERSITY PANTHERS handed a 5-2 defeat to the 3rd seeded INDIANA TECH WARRIORS ### And the (4) Crusaders survived another elimination game by bouncing the (5) Saints in a 3-2 edge-of- your seat classic.
