DAY TWO RESULTS FROM THE 2013 USCAA COLLEGE WORLD SERIES

Clermont CougarsYesterday was Day 2 for the USCAA. The 3rd seeded CLERMONT COUGARS handed Day One’s upset darlings, the (7) LU-BELLEVILLE LYNX, their first loss of this year’s College World Series. The Cougars doubled-up on the Lynx, defeating them by a final score of 6-3 yesterday.

Six runs were also scored by the 5 seeds, the PSU-GREATER ALLEGHENY NITTANY LIONS, as they survived their elimination game against the 8th seeded ST JOSEPH’S COLLEGE-BROOKLYN BEARS in a 6-1 rout. They followed that up with a 2-0 shutout win over the (9) BRIARCLIFFE BULLDOGS.

newportnewsApprentice-school-builderThe top seeded NEWPORT NEWS APPRENTICE SCHOOL BUILDERS won another game by defeating the SELMA UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS. The final talley in this slugfest was 7-4.

Meanwhile the 10 seeds, the PENN TECH WILDCATS, came out on the winning side of an 8-5 clash with the HEAVILY disappointing 2 seeds, the CLARK STATE EAGLES.
