DAY 4 OF NCCAA COLLEGE BASEBALL’S POSTSEASON

 The Toccoa Falls College Eagles (logo at left), the defending champions of NCCAA2 baseball, took the field today after a bye in the first round of the South Region Tournament. As dominant as ever, they finished off yesterday’s winners, the Florida Christian College Suns by a score of 7-3.

Meanwhile the Johnson University Preachers play the OCU Trailblazers for the Mid East Region championsip. Balladeer’s Blog will have updated scores from other regional tournaments as they become available.

MID EAST REGION CHAMPIONSHIP – The Johnson University Preachers and the Ohio Christian University Trailblazers faced off in a best-of- three series today for the regional title. OCU took game one in commanding fashion 14-4. In game two the Preachers took a 3-0 lead but then fizzled, permitting the Trailblazers to retake the momentum for a 10-3 victory. OCU joins the NCU Rams and the LBC Chargers with secured spots in the NCCAA2 World Series field.

SOUTHWEST REGION – The Dallas Christian Crusaders won yesterday’s game with the Hillsdale Free Baptist Saints but lost today to the Arlington Baptist College Patriots by a score of 6-4.
