PACIFIC LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY LUTES
Location: Tacoma, WA
Division: NCAA Division 3
Conference Affiliation: Northwest Conference
Major sports: football, basketball, base/soft- ball, soccer, volleyball
Comment: The Lutes are guaranteed to make you forget all about the Piccolos, the Zithers, and the Oboes! (I’m kidding!) Pacific Lutheran was founded in 1890 by Scandinavian immigrants to the U.S. I remember watching their football team play in the D3 championship game about a decade or so ago and being struck even back then with what a cool name and logo their teams have.
