TOP-SEEDED LEE FLAMES, 4TH-SEEDED PARK PIRATES FALL IN CONFERENCE BASEBALL TOURNAMENTS

In the Southern States Athletic Conference the number one seeded Lee Flames were defeated today by the fourth seeded William Carey Crusaders by a score of 12-8. In the

American Midwest Conference the four seeds, the Park University Pirates, fell to the five seeds, the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans in a much tighter 5-4 outcome. UPDATE – The Trojans continue to be the story of this tournament, stunning the top- seeded Missouri Baptist Spartans in the late game by a score of 2-1.   

In today’s second round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament the UVA-Wise Highland Cavaliers took down the Georgetown (KY) Tigers in a 1-0 pitcher’s duel.

Games will continue throughout the afternoon and evening.
