COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM OCTOBER 24th

Georgetown (KY) TigersGEORGETOWN COLLEGE RULES THE WORLD – Once again an NAIA team has toppled a team from NCAA Division TWO. For newbies that’s like a 1AA team upsetting a 1A team. The GEORGETOWN (KY) COLLEGE TIGERS were on the road against NCAA D2’s ALDERSON- BROADDUS UNIVERSITY BATTLERS and clobbered them 28-15.

Winona StateNUMBER ONE TAKES A FALL – In NCAA Division Two the WINONA STATE WARRIORS traveled to face the number 1 team in the nation – the MINNESOTA STATE MAVERICKS. The Warriors brought down Number One in their own house in a 31-27 game for the ages. Continue reading →

COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM OCTOBER 17th

* HEADLINES *

Edward Waters Tigers helmetEDWARD WATERS RULES THE WORLD – Another NAIA team has risen up to defeat an NCAA Division ONE team. The EDWARD WATERS COLLEGE TIGERS took part in the Jacksonville Football Classic against the Division One JACKSONVILLE UNIVERSITY DOLPHINS. The Tigers showed how football is played in the NAIA by routing the Dolphins 49-28. 

Lindsey_Wilson_KYNUMBER ONES STAY SAFE – The NAIA’s top ranked LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS survived a 24-19 visit from the (18) FAULKNER UNIVERSITY EAGLES     ###      In D2 the (1) MINNESOTA STATE MAVERICKS notched a 51-10 road crushing of the unranked CONCORDIA (St Paul) GOLDEN EAGLES     ###      And D3’s (1) MT UNION PURPLE RAIDERS annihilated the unranked HEIDELBERG UNIVERSITY STUDENT PRINCES 59-17.   Continue reading →

COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM OCTOBER 10th

* HEADLINES *

Oshkosh TitansNUMBER ONE TAKES A FALL – In NCAA Division Three the number 15 UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AT OSHKOSH TITANS upset the top ranked defending champions – the dynastic UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AT WHITEWATER WARHAWKS. A 7-7 Halftime tie stayed in effect until the homestanding Titans managed a 4th Quarter Field Goal then blocked a Warhawk Field Goal attempt for a 10-7 win!  

Eastern Oregon helmetDOWN GOES NUMBER FOUR – In the NAIA the EASTERN OREGON UNIVERSITY MOUNTAINEERS traveled to Helena to face the number 4 team in the nation – the storied CARROLL COLLEGE FIGHTING SAINTS. COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM OCTOBER 3rd

* HEADLINES *

HELMETCampbellsville_KYNUMBER THREE TAKES A FALL – The NAIA’s CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TIGERS took it on the road against the number 3 team in the nation – the FAULKNER UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Furies). This was a true game for the ages but in the end the Tigers prevailed by a final score of 59-50.

mcmurry warhawks helmetMCMURRY STUNS DIVISION TWO – The NCCAA’s MCMURRY UNIVERSITY WAR HAWKS traveled to face the NCAA Division TWO team the LINCOLN (MO) UNIVERSITY BLUE TIGERS. In what was a truly unexpected result the War Hawks didn’t just win – they absolutely hammered the Blue Tigers. COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS: THE LATEST

* HEADLINES *

Benedictine RavensNUMBER THREE GOES DOWN – Yesterday the NAIA’s BENEDICTINE COLLEGE RAVENS welcomed the number 3 team in the nation – the BAKER UNIVERSITY WILDCATS. This game was one for the ages as the Ravens managed a hard-fought 35-31 upset of the Wildcats. Benedictine College was ranked 18th two weeks ago, then fell from the rankings last week and this win will put them right back in again. 

Emory and Henry WaspsWASPS STING DIVISION ONE – The NCAA Division Three team the EMORY & HENRY COLLEGE WASPS took it on the road to face NCAA Division ONE’s EAST TENNESSEE STATE BUCCANEERS. The Wasps trailed 14-7 in the 1st Quarter and 17-14 at Halftime but came back for a 20-17 lead to end the 3rd Quarter. The teams exchanged Touchdowns in the 4th for a shattering 27-24 toppling of the D1 Buccaneers. Emory & Henry QB Kevin Saxton threw for 244 yds and 1 Touchdown.  Continue reading →

COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM SEPTEMBER 19th

* HEADLINES *

Robert Morris (IL)NUMBER ONE TAKES A FALL – Yesterday the NAIA’s 11th ranked ROBERT MORRIS (IL) EAGLES hosted the number one team in the nation – the  MARIAN UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS. The undefeated Eagles trailed the Knights 7-0 in the 1st Quarter and 14-10 at Halftime before seizing a 17-14 edge in the 3rd Quarter. In the 4th Robert Morris U outscored Marian 13-7 for a 30-21 upset triumph. Eagles Quarterback Kanyatte Allen had 2 Touchdowns through the air and 1 on the ground in the win.

Chowan HawksNCCAA OVER NCAA – The NCCAA’s CHOWAN  UNIVERSITY HAWKS were on the road against NCAA Division ONE’s Delaware State Hornets. The Hawks made an early statement by ending the opening Quarter with a 14-0 lead. That was cut to a 21-14 advantage over the Hornets by the break and 31-17 as the 3rd Quarter drew to a close. In the 4th Chowan University withstood a frantic Delaware State rally to win the game 31-30! This was the Hawks’ first ever win over a D1 foe.  Continue reading →

COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM SEPTEMBER 17th

Fairmont StateTHE FRACAS IN FAIRMONT – The FAIRMONT STATE FIGHTING FALCONS hosted the WEST LIBERTY STATE HILLTOPPERS last night. The Fighting Falcons led most of the game, holding a 14-7 lead in the 1st Quarter, a 14-13 edge at Halftime and a 21-20 advantage to end the 3rd. In the 4th Quarter the Hilltoppers seized the lead and Fairmont State needed a Touchdown run by RB Austin White to win the game 36-30 with mere seconds to play. QB Cooper Hibbs had 2 TD’s on 187 yds passing. Continue reading →

St Francis IL Fighting Saints helmet NEWTHE FIGHTING SAINTS TRIUMPHANT – Nearly every week of college football season brings at least one NAIA team upsetting a team from NCAA Division Two or even Division ONE. Yesterday the UNIVERSITY OF ST FRANCIS (IL) FIGHTING SAINTS were on the road against NCAA Division TWO’s LINCOLN (MO) UNIVERSITY BLUE TIGERS and stunned them in a 13-10 game for the ages.     ###      And the NAIA’s (1) MARIAN UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS toppled Division TWO’s visiting UNIVERSITY OF INDIANAPOLIS GREYHOUNDS in a 28-22 Instant Classic.

Maryville helmetTHE SCOTS GO BUCCANEER HUNTING – NCAA Division Three’s MARYVILLE COLLEGE SCOTS traveled to take on NCAA Division ONE’s East Tennessee State Buccaneers, who are in their very first year of intercollegiate football. A 21-21 Halftime tie was followed by a scoreless 3rd Quarter but in the 4th the Scots prevailed by a final tally of 28-21.  Continue reading →

 * HEADLINES *

Robert Morris (IL)NAIA OVER NCAA D3 – The NAIA’s ROBERT MORRIS (IL) EAGLES edged the number 18 UW-OSHKOSH TITANS in a 23-21 nailbiter.     ###      The SOUTHWESTERN ASSEMBLIES OF GOD UNIVERSITY LIONS defeated the WESTMINSTER (MO) BLUE JAYS 30-17     ###      And the TAYLOR UNIVERSITY TROJANS eviscerated the ANDERSON UNIVERSITY RAVENS by a score of FIFTY-ONE to TEN!  

Pacific Boxers helmetNCAA D3 OVER NAIA – D3’s PACIFIC UNIVERSITY BOXERS traveled to face the COLLEGE OF IDAHO COYOTES and won a 32-31 Instant Classic!     ###      Meanwhile the CONCORDIA (Moorhead) COBBERS hammered the visiting UNIVERSITY OF JAMESTOWN JIMMIES to the tune of 41-17. * THIS WEEK GOES TO THE NAIA THREE GAMES TO TWO. * Continue reading →
