The Mad Hatter decided to pass on the opportunity to chew grass in the Big House 8 times a year and stayed at LSU. CACTUS BOWL KICKS OFF AT 7PM
The 2011 Cactus Bowl, the all-star game for NCAA Division 2 football, will be kicking off at 7PM Central Time. The game features 88 D2 senior standouts divided into two 44-man rosters (I advocated dividing them into eleven 8-man rosters but got shouted down) and is a great chance for D2 players who may well end up on NFL rosters to showcase themselves once more in a live game format. Three Albany State University football players have been selected to play in the 2011 Cactus Bowl, which will be held Friday, Jan. 7, at Texas A&M-Kingsville’s Javelina Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. (CST).
