DOWN TO THE WIRE – The INDIANA FEVER (11-15) took it on the road against the MINNESOTA LYNX (17-8).
The Fever eked out a 20-19 edge in the 1st Quarter, but Minnesota knotted everything up at 38-38 by Halftime. The Lynx then went on top 60-53 to end the 3rd Quarter, but in the 4th Indiana stormed from behind to win the game 81-74. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 21 points, while her teammates Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark contributed a Double Double of 17 & 16, and 17 points, respectively.
BROOKLYN BATTLE AT BARCLAY’S – In this game the NEW YORK LIBERTY (21-4) welcomed the CONNECTICUT SUN (18-6) to the Barclay’s Center.
The 1st Half ended with the Liberty up 45-42 over Connecticut. The Sun proceeded to tie the game at 63-63 in the 3rd Quarter, while the 4th ended in an 82-74 victory for New York. Sabrina Ionescu tossed in THIRTY points to lead the Liberty in this thriller. Continue reading

Obviously, I will have more coming regarding larger events, but for right now let’s take a look at WNBA results.
INDIANA OVER PHOENIX – The INDIANA FEVER (10-14) welcomed the PHOENIX MERCURY (12-11) in this game.
The Fever led Phoenix 28-16, 55-35 and 81-58 in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Quarters respectively. In the 4th, Indiana held off a gallant rally attempt by the Mercury, winning the game 95-86. Kelsey Mitchell’s 28 points led the Fever. CAITLIN CLARK had a Double Double of 20 points and 13 assists, while her teammates Aliyah Boston and NaLyssa Smith logged Double Doubles of their own with 21 & 13 and 14 & 10.
ACES WILD – The LAS VEGAS ACES (15-7) took it on the road against the ATLANTA DREAM (7-15) yesterday.
A 44-30 Halftime advantage for the Aces over Atlanta became 57-47 to end the 3rd Quarter. Las Vegas made up the difference in the 4th, taking down the Dream by a final tally of 84-70. The Aces were led by A’ja Wilson with her magnificent Double Double of THIRTY-THREE points and 18 rebounds. Continue reading

WIN IT IN THE FOURTH – The INDIANA FEVER (9-13) played host to the NEW YORK LIBERTY (17-4) yesterday.
The Fever were clinging to a mere 39-38 edge as Halftime arrived. The 3rd Quarter ended with the Liberty on top 62-55, but Indiana roared from behind in the 4th to win the game 83-78. CAITLIN CLARK led the Fever with a Double Double of 19 points and 13 assists, while her teammate NaLyssa Smith notched a Double Double of her own with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
TUSSLE AT THE TARGET CENTER – In this game the MINNESOTA LYNX (15-6) welcomed the WASHINGTON MYSTICS (5-17) to their Target Center home court.
The Lynx saw their 25-14 1st Quarter lead melt away as Washington tied things up at 36-36 by the midpoint. After the break, the Mystics were up 57-55 in the 3rd Quarter before Minnesota exploded for a 74-67 victory in the 4th. Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams led the Lynx with 17 points each. WIN IT BY TWELVE – The SEATTLE STORM (11-6) welcomed the INDIANA FEVER (7-12).
By Halftime of the game the Storm were on top of Indiana by a score of 53-39 and from there they coasted to an 89-77 victory. Jewell Loyd led the winners with her THIRTY-FOUR points. For the Fever, CAITLIN CLARK led with 15 points and 7 assists. Continue reading

FEVER DREAM – From State Farm Arena in Georgia came this game between the INDIANA FEVER (7-10) and their hosts the ATLANTA DREAM (6-8).
A 35-25 1st Quarter lead for the Fever became 57-41 at Halftime. After the break, Indiana kept the Dream at arm’s length, ultimately winning the game by a final tally of 91-79. NaLyssa Smith’s 21 points led the Fever, while CAITLYN CLARK logged 16 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds.
BATTLE IN SIN CITY – The LAS VEGAS ACES (8-6) welcomed the CONNECTICUT SUN (13-2) to Michelob Ultra Arena.
By the Half, the Aces were on top 45-28 and the 3rd Quarter ended with Connecticut cutting their opponents’ lead to 63-50. In the 4th, Las Vegas finished off the Sun 85-74. A’ja Wilson of the Aces led her team to victory with her Double Double of 26 points and 16 rebounds. Continue reading

REQUIEM FOR THE DREAM – CAITLYN CLARK and the INDIANA FEVER (4-10) welcomed the ATLANTA DREAM (5-6) to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in this game.
By Halftime the Fever were leading Atlanta 59-44. From there the 3rd Quarter ended with the Dream nibbling Indiana’s advantage down to 73-62, and the 4th with a 91-84 victory for the Fever. Aliyah Boston led Indiana with a Double Double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. Continue reading

INDIANA WANTS THEM – The INDIANA FEVER (3-9) took it on the road against the WASHINGTON MYSTICS (0-11).
The Fever were on top 28-19 to end the 1st Quarter, but Washington cut that to a mere 42-40 edge at Halftime. After the break, the teams went blow for blow and basket for basket, with Indiana holding on for an 85-83 win. Rookie sensation CAITLIN CLARK led the Fever with THIRTY points, while her teammate NaLyssa Smith logged a Double Double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. Continue reading

INSTANT CLASSIC – The INDIANA FEVER (2-8) welcomed the CHICAGO SKY (3-4) yesterday for what turned out to be a terrific game.
The Fever led 17-14 in the 1st Quarter and 35-33 at Halftime. After the break, the Sky put up 37 points to the 36 scored by Indiana but the Fever won out 71-70. Kelsey Mitchell led the victors with 18 points. New draftee Caitlin Clark plays for Indiana. Continue reading

I’m still experimenting with this second shot at covering the WNBA. The first time was several years ago but interest died quickly. We’ll see how it goes this time. NOTE: The expansion team called the Golden State Valkyries will debut in 2025. Toronto’s unnamed new team will follow in 2026.
CAITLYN CLARK FEVER – The INDIANA FEVER (1-6) took it on the road to the West Coast to face the LOS ANGELES SPARKS (1-4).
Come Halftime the Sparks were on top 45-34, but in the 3rd Quarter the Fever pulled to within 56-53. The 4th saw Indiana outscore L.A. 25-17 for a 78-73 win for the Fever.
