“LADY O” AND “SWEET” SAUERS MAKE ALL-CENTENNIAL CONFERENCE TEAM

LANCASTER, Pa. — Two members of the Franklin & Marshall field hockey team were named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) Team when it was announced Wednesday. Eileen O’Reilly (OFFICIAL BALLADEER’S BLOG NICKNAME: LADY O) was named to the First Team, while Valerie Sauers (OFFICIAL BALLADEER’S BLOG NICKNAME: “SWEET” SAUERS) landed on the Second Team.

ERSKINE FLYING FLEET VOLLEYBALL: LETHAL LAUREN LAMBASTES LIMESTONE

Due West, SC – Sophomore Lauren Stewart earned her first double-double of the season with a game-high 15 kills and 11 digs as #2 Erskine defeated #7 Limestone 3 to 1 (25-23, 19-25, 25-23, and 25-17) in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament at Belk Arena.

BLUE JAYS WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM WINS 6TH STRAIGHT CENTENNIAL CONFERENCE TITLE

The 14th-ranked Johns Hopkins women’s soccer team took down 11th-ranked Dickinson, 3-0, to win its sixth straight Centennial Conference Championship and secure the automatic conference bid into the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Jays have now defeated Dickinson the past three seasons in the conference title game and improve to 16-3-1 with the win, while the Red Devils drop to 15-3-1.

THE NUMBER ONE FOOTBALL TEAM VS THE NUMBER TWO FOOTBALL TEAM

 Region VI of the JUCO ranks’ #2 team, the Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons, are on the road tonight playing the #1 JUCO  football  team – the Butler Grizzlies. The Blue Dragons come in fresh off last week’s win over the Garden City Broncbusters and the Grizzlies from their victory over the Coffeyville Red Ravens. The nation turns its lonely eyes to El Dorado, KS for this game between the 7-0 Blue Dragons and the 8-0 Grizzlies.
