2026 COLLEGE BASKETBALL POSTSEASON CONTINUES

For Divisions One and Two in the USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association).

USCAA DIVISION ONE

FIRST SEMIFINAL – The 4th seeded NORTH AMERICAN UNIVERSITY STALLIONS played the 1 seeds – the BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE BEARS. The Stallions put Bloomfield College on Upset alert with their 43-41 Halftime edge, then carried through by knocking off the top seeds by a final score of 98-88. North American University was led by Jamarric Hammond with a Double Double of 27 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. (So almost a Triple Double.) 

SECOND SEMIFINAL – And in this game the 3 seeds – the BRYANT & STRATTON COLLEGE (Syracuse) BOBCATS – took on the 2nd seeded SOUTHEASTERN ILLINOIS COLLEGE FALCONS (should be Blue Falcons). SIC led 43-37 at the Half, only for the Bobcats to force Overtime with an 80-80 tie. In the extra session, BSC-Syracuse triumphed 92-87. Jordan Drain’s 25 points led the victors, while his fellow Bobcats Wayne Longmore and Khai Pugh logged Double Doubles of 15 points & 12 rebounds, and 13 points & 10 rebounds, respectively.

CONSOLATION BRACKET : GAME ONE – The ATLANTIS UNIVERSITY ATLANTEANS faced the BRYANT & STRATTON COLLEGE (Ohio) BOBCATS. Halftime found the Atlanteans out in front 45-36. After the break, Atlantis U. got a bit more separation from BSC-Ohio to win the game 79-65. Santiago Insaurralde led the Atlanteans with a Double Double of 21 points & 12 rebounds while Folayemi Salako got a Double Double of his own with 15 points & 11 rebounds.

CONSOLATION BRACKET: GAME TWO – Up next the NEWPORT NEWS APPRENTICE SCHOOL BUILDERS (Shipbuilders) did battle with the BRYANT & STRATTON COLLEGE (Buffalo) BOBCATS. The Builders compiled a comfortable 40-23 advantage by the midpoint, then coasted to a 95-70 beatdown of BSC-Buffalo. Twenty-four points from Wayne Hedgepeth led the Apprentice School and his fellow Builder Donovan Means got a Double Double of 13 points & 10 rebounds.

USCAA DIVISION TWO

FIRST QUARTERFINAL – The 6 seeds – the MIAMI UNIVERSITY AT HAMILTON HARRIERS – clashed with the 3rd seeded SOUTHERN MAINE COLLEGE SEAWOLVES. This was a defensive epic, with the Harriers up by a mere 25-22 at Halftime. From there, Miami-Hamilton held on to upset the Seawolves 57-53. Kaleb Wanamaker tossed in 20 points to lead the Harriers.   

SECOND QUARTERFINAL – In this game the 5th seeded SOUTHWESTERN ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS played the 4 seeds – the PENN STATE AT MONT ALTO LIONS. Another Upset was in the offing as the Knights led 42-31 at the Half before finishing off PSU-Mont Alto by a tally of 84-70. Southwestern Adventist University was led by A.J. Aviles, who put up 26 points.

THIRD QUARTERFINAL – The 2 seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI AT CLERMONT COUGARS – were up against the 7th seeded UNIVERSITY OF MAINE AT AUGUSTA MOOSE. A 44-41 Halftime lead for the Cougars was ultimately parlayed into a 96-84 victory over the Moose. It was Robbie Johnson who led UC-Clermont with his 22 points. 

FOURTH QUARTERFINAL – And finally, the top seeded PENN STATE AT YORK LIONS faced the 9 seeds – the KENT STATE AT TUSCARAWAS GOLDEN EAGLES. The score was knotted up at 39-39 by the midpoint of the game. After the break, PSU-York managed to defeat the Golden Eagles 95-91 led by 26 points from John Godinez. His teammate Terrell Neal notched a Double Double of 22 points & 13 rebounds, while Quentin Wells had a Double Double of 17 points & 11 assists.
