NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The defending champs – the GRAND VIEW UNIVERSITY VIKINGS – took on the KEISER UNIVERSITY SEAHAWKS for the NAIA title. The Seahawks led 3-0 to end the 1st Quarter, but by Halftime Grand View University was on top 13-3.
Keiser University knotted things up at 13-13 in the 3rd Quarter, only for the Vikings to pull away in the 4th for a 22-16 victory.
NCAA DIVISION TWO
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The FERRIS STATE BULLDOGS, this division’s defending champs, faced the HARDING UNIVERSITY BISON in this game. The Bulldogs seized a 14-0 opening Quarter advantage, which became a 21-14 lead at the Half.
The explosive 3rd Quarter saw Ferris State go on top of the Bison 42-21. Neither team scored in the 4th, so 42-21 was the final tally as well.
NCAA DIVISION THREE
FIRST SEMIFINAL – The UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AT RIVER FALLS FALCONS welcomed the JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY BLUEJAYS. A 14-14 1st Quarter tie turned into a 27-21 Halftime lead for the Bluejays. After the break, the Falcons came back to take a 41-34 lead into the 4th Quarter before winning the game 48-41.
SECOND SEMIFINAL – This game pitted the NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE CARDINALS (defending champions) against the visiting JOHN CARROLL UNIVERSITY BLUE STREAKS. The Cardinals led 14-0 in the opening Quarter and 28-0 at the midpoint. From there, North Central College kept the Blue Streaks at arm’s length in a 41-21 triumph.

I watched the Ferris St vs Harding game. It was very entertaining even though the final score was a bit lopsided. The quality of play was part of the excitement of the game (for me).
Yes, its intensity was not really reflected on the scoreboard.
