BALLADEER’S BLOG’S COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM SEPTEMBER 25th

NJCAA

ONE-POINT WONDER – The ERIE COLLEGE KATS took it on the road against the COLLEGE AT BROCKPORT GOLDEN EAGLES. The Kats converted their 9-0 1st Quarter lead into a 16-2 advantage by Halftime. The 3rd Quarter ended with Erie College on top 23-2 but the 4th saw the Golden Eagles furiously rally only to fall just short as the Kats held on to win the game 23-22. 

UNDER THE RADAR CLASSIC – The 7th ranked NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE RANGERS visited the NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE TIGERS last night. The opening Half ended with the Tigers leading by a score of 20-17. Northeast Mississippi made that a 27-20 count in the 3rd Quarter, but the Rangers shut them out in the 4th in a 34-27 triumph.   

FIGHTING LIKE CATS AND DOGS – Up next, the number 4 MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COLLEGE BULLDOGS traveled to face the PEARL RIVER COLLEGE WILDCATS. A tight 14-13 Halftime edge for the Wildcats became a 28-21 3rd Quarter advantage for MGCC. The Bulldogs outscored Pearl River College 14-7 in the 4th to win the game 42-28. 

SENDING THEM INTO HIBERNATION – The 11th ranked COPIAH-LINCOLN COLLEGE WOLFPACK were guests of the SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE BEARS. The Wolfpack led their opponents 7-0, 17-0 and 24-7 in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Quarters, respectively. The 4th saw Copiah-Lincoln College dispatch the Bears by a final tally of 38-7.

SAFETY LAST – The ITAWAMBA COLLEGE INDIANS found themselves on the road against the MISSISSIPPI DELTA COLLEGE TROJANS and hammered them 34-2    ###    Meanwhile, the number 14 team in the nation – the HINDS COLLEGE EAGLES – visited the EAST CENTRAL COLLEGE WARRIORS and eviscerated them 48-2.

CCCAA

ROAD RAGE – This game pitted the 7th ranked MONTEREY PENINSULA COLLEGE LOBOS against the home standing LANEY COLLEGE EAGLES. The 1st Quarter ended in a 10-7 Lobos edge, but that turned into a 27-7 advantage come Halftime. After the break, Monterey Peninsula College improved to 5-0 with a 41-14 victory over the Eagles, who fell to 4-1.
