CENTURY CLUB – Teams scoring 100 or more points in Regulation: The DAVIDSON-DAVIE COLLEGE STORM defeated the visiting CLEVELAND COLLEGE YETIS by a score of 104-80   ###   Meanwhile, the TERRA STATE TITANS triumphed 108-80 over the OWENS COLLEGE EXPRESS   ###   And the MARION MILITARY INSTITUTE TIGERS downed the ENTERPRISE STATE BOLL WEEVILS 108-86.

SEVEN HUNDRED WINS – Coach Brian Peabody of the PIMA COLLEGE AZTECS notched his 700th win in style at the SCOTTSDALE COLLEGE FIGHTING ARTICHOKES (yes, really). At Halftime the Aztecs were clinging to a mere 39-37 edge. From there Pima College left the Fighting Artichokes further and further behind in a 95-71 victory led by Cohenj Gonzales’ 17 points.

PUTTING IN OVERTIME – The NORTH PLATTE COLLEGE KNIGHTS used the extra session to beat their hosts the CENTRAL COLLEGE AT COLUMBUS COWBOYS 96-92   ###   Elsewhere, the MOTT COLLEGE BEARS defeated the visiting ST. CLAIR COUNTY COLLEGE SKIPPERS 94-89 in OT   ###   And the SOUTHEAST (NE) COLLEGE BOBCATS won 103-97 at the METROPOLITAN COLLEGE WOLVES.

SNAKEBITE – In this game the PARKLAND COLLEGE COBRAS took the court against the visiting DANVILLE AREA COLLEGE JAGUARS. A defense-heavy opening Half ended with the Jaguars on top 29-26 but the Cobras took over from there. When all of the dust had settled Parkland College had triumphed 80-59. Twenty points from JaMonte Williams led the Cobras.

ALL-NAME GAMES – The KIRTLAND COLLEGE FIREBIRDS won a 67-62 visit from the ALPENA COLLEGE LUMBERJACKS   ###   The MESABI RANGE COLLEGE NORSE got an 87-81 victory at the GOGEBIC COLLEGE SAMSONS   ###   And the SOUTH ARKANSAS COLLEGE STARS defeated the ARKANSAS STATE AT NEWPORT AVIATORS 77-66. 

ONE SQUARE MEAL – The SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS COLLEGE SHARKS welcomed the ARKANSAS BAPTIST COLLEGE BUFFALOES. The Sharks pretty much devoured Arkansas Baptist College, leading them 39-29 at the Half on their way to a comfortable 90-61 smackdown. Tobias Prall tossed in 23 points to lead SEARK while his teammate Jalen Brown got a Double Double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

HAPPY HOME STANDS – Up first, in a thriller the SNEAD STATE PARSONS managed an 80-78 win over the REID STATE TECHNICAL COLLEGE LIONS   ###   Meanwhile, the NIAGARA COLLEGE WOLFPACK defeated the CUYAHOGA COLLEGE TRICERATOPS 87-73   ###   And the SANDHILLS COLLEGE FLYERS played host to the CENTRAL CAROLINA COLLEGE COUGARS and outlasted them by a final tally of 80-71.

ONE-POINT WONDER – This game pitted the MIAMI UNIVERSITY AT HAMILTON HARRIERS against their hosts the EDISON STATE CHARGERS. The Chargers put up 41 points in each Half. That gave them a 41-39 edge over the Harriers at the break but from there Miami rallied for an 83-82 victory. Shaeden Olden’s 23 points led the Harriers.

WHY DON’T WE DO IT ON THE ROAD – The CHESAPEAKE COLLEGE SKIPJACKS found themselves on the road at the HAGERSTOWN COLLEGE HAWKS where they won out 90-78   ###   Elsewhere, the GLENDALE (AZ) GAUCHOS defeated the PHOENIX COLLEGE BEARS 76-72   ###   And the ALLEN COUNTY COLLEGE RED DEVILS won 92-81 at the FORT SCOTT COLLEGE GREYHOUNDS.   

STORM FRONT – The MILWAUKEE AREA TECHNICAL COLLEGE STORMERS visited the COLLEGE OF DUPAGE CHAPARRALS to show them that they don’t dominate basketball the way they do the gridiron. The Stormers led 52-40 at the midway point before winning by a score of 95-88. Dane Dailing led the way for MATC with his THIRTY-FIVE points.

HOME AND AWAY – Home: The SPOON RIVER COLLEGE SNAPPERS took the court against the ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE COUGARS and edged them in a 68-65 nail-biter    ###    Away: The MONROE COLLEGE TRIBUNES discovered that all roads led to the JAMESTOWN COLLEGE JAYHAWKS, whom they manhandled 77-50.
