THE NAME DONALD TRUMP DOES NOT APPEAR IN THIS BLOG POST ABOUT JANUARY SIXTH

Here at Independent Voter site Balladeer’s Blog I will leave out one particular name in this blog post because it is unbelievable how many people are either uninformed or lying when they say that anything that happened on January 6th of 2021 could have returned the incumbent to office.

I’m making this post today because from tomorrow onward for who knows how long the election will be addressed, so this is a look at a non-election day matter of basic civics.

For people who get angry just seeing a certain name, rest assured I will not include it in the body of this post, so please consider these words as important information, no matter who you vote for. It’s alarming that so much hysteria has been encouraged over a procedure that a lot of Americans and non-Americans are obviously unclear about.

*** It doesn’t matter if you support a candidate or hate him, NOTHING that might have happened in Congress on January 6th of 2021 would have put them back in the Oval Office. Congressional Republicans did not have the votes to block certification on January 6th, 2021 just as Congressional Democrats did not have the votes to block certification of the 2016 and 2000 elections when they disagreed with the results.

*** Democrats who opposed certifying election results after 2016 and 2000 DID get to read into the record concerns they had about the results. 

*** Even if there were no protests and arrests, January 6th would have ended the same way – without enough votes to send election results back to the states with suspect results for further investigation, Congressional reps opposed to certification would have been outvoted and the 2020 election results WOULD HAVE BEEN CERTIFIED ANYWAY. 

           And, if you’ll recall that IS what happened anyway once the protesters were removed. 

*** To recap – NOTHING could have happened that day to declare a certain candidate the winner of the 2020 election. Even if the Congressional Representatives raising questions about the election results had had the votes (which they didn’t), those results would have just been sent back to the states for further investigation – NOT overturned on the spot.

           The states, in turn, would in all likelihood have just restated that they considered the results legitimate and the party challenging those results would not have had the votes to change that.     

*** Typical of their m.o. in recent decades, on January 6th of 2021 the Democrats chose to promote hysteria and misleadingly implied that the protests could have overturned the election. Not even the intrusion of protesters could have done that, just as the many times that protesters pushing Democrat causes have interrupted Congressional procedures also could NOT have undone anything.

*** If you are asking “Why would so many elected Democrats pretend that “a coup” or “insurrection” was happening if it wasn’t true?” Well, you might as well ask why those demagogues have been lying about so many other things regarding a certain former president. Things that have been disproven over and over again.

Just as that man is not “Hitler” there was no insurrection or coup in the making.

*** So the alleged January 6th “insurrection” (LMAO) was a mere myth. No, Democracy was NOT in danger and our government was NOT on the verge of falling, no matter how many biased media outlets in the U.S. OR OVERSEAS claim otherwise. 

*** And in previous posts I’ve clarified the long history of far greater violence at the Capitol Building from long before a certain man came along. Violence which even included gunfire from a group advocating independence for Puerto Rico, and on another occasion an actual bomb set off by a Democrat-adjacent group.

SO, vote for whoever you please, but you can disregard frenzied, performative outrage about January 6th of 2021.
