HAS TO BE SAID: AUGUST 27th

I have a lot of new readers, so this blog post will be clarifying some of my long-held opinions for newcomers who aren’t yet used to the fact that I’m an Independent Voter and therefore neither a Democrat nor a Republican.

democrats oppressing people while*** FIRST, A COMMENT REGARDING THE WAY DEMOCRAT CONVENTIONS AND DEMOCRAT CONFERENCES OF ALL KINDS SO OFTEN START BY STATING THEIR EVENT IS BEING HELD ON “STOLEN” LAND. Hey, that also means that all of the Democrats’ mansions and multiple homes are ALSO on “stolen” land. I call for Democrats to take the initiative and give up all of those extra homes to set an example for the rest of us. As a minimum, before ANY MORE finger-wagging lectures from privileged one-percenter entertainers or athletes I want an admission from them that their many properties stand on stolen land.

And since Democrats hate national borders and call them artificial, arbitrary lines, let’s call for treating their property lines as artificial, arbitrary lines and settle many of their beloved illegal immigrants on their properties.

buster and charlie*** NEXT, A RELEVANT ANECDOTE REGARDING AN EXCHANGE BETWEEN CHARLIE CHAPLIN AND BUSTER KEATON, BOTH OF WHOM I’M A FAN OF. Chaplin was proclaiming “What I want is that every child should have enough to eat, shoes on his feet and a roof over his head.” Keaton’s reply was “But Charlie, do you know anyone who doesn’t want that?”

That possibly apocryphal exchange embodies the current state of political discourse, with Chaplin’s virtue signaling statement perfectly reflecting the perpetual children who call themselves Democrats. Keaton’s reply perfectly reflects all of us NON-Democrats, who grew up at some point and accepted the fact that people who disagree with us are not automatically immoral and selfish.

Democrats in 2024 really seem to have deluded themselves into thinking that if adults disagree with them regarding how to approach the world’s problems it means those adults DON’T want good things for children or anyone else. They’re such tiresome drama queens.

freedom of expression is a human right*** I USED TO BE A DEMOCRAT YEARS AGO. That was when the Democrats believed in freedom of expression and other long-held Civil Liberty principles that they have completely abandoned after becoming the Political Correctness Police in the 1990s and evolving into the intolerant Woke Fascists that they are today.

I frequently mention that I used to be a Democrat because here in the U.S. it has come to be a quick way to clarify your stands. There are now so many of us former Democrats who went Independent that it lets people know a lot about you in the least amount of words. At least here in the U.S. it does. Overseas readers have expressed confusion about why I mention it so much, so this is to clarify things for those readers.

*** DEMOCRATS IN 2024 ARE POMPOUS, PRETENTIOUS ASSES WHO CONSIDER THEMSELVES TO BE THE MORAL MODELS FOR EVERYONE ELSE. It’s no secret that 2024 Democrats have no identity outside of their political opinions. Their opinions are their religion and they pompously pretend that anyone who disagrees with them is outrightly evil.

To Democrats it can’t possibly be that adults can be exposed to the same environment but form different opinions about the issues. No, those perpetual children pretend that people who disagree with them on ANY issue are (yawn) Nazis and violence is justified in dealing with them.

the fascists of the future will*** DEMOCRATS, WHO CALL OTHER PEOPLE NAZIS AND MORE AND ADVOCATE VIOLENCE AGAINST PEOPLE JUST FOR DISAGREEING WITH THEM ACT SO OUTRAGED WHEN FAR LESSER INSULTS GET THROWN AT THEM. When they’re called “woke” or “cat ladies”, etc, their attitude is that the world must grind to a halt until their precious egos are soothed.

Well, Democrats, I’m sure Republicans don’t like being called Nazis or “climate deniers” or “bitter clingers” so just deal with getting insults thrown back at you. Or better yet, stop using insults as a substitute for cogent argumentation.

  1. The DNC convention was so fake. They were so desperate for speakers they had to get the bad guy from Ghost, Tony Goldwyn. And U.S. olympic coach, Steve Kerr, who I thought gave an excellent speech btw, practically had to Apologize for showing up at all. There was a video of Harris approaching the basketball team at practice a month or two ago and they were all backing away from her like she was toxic… One of the many things I can’t “unsee” of recent years which makes me also a “former democrat.”

    • I can certainly sympathize. I didn’t catch Kerr’s speech or the film of Kamala and the team, so that’s kind of funny. And yes, “fake” is the perfect word for that bizarre event.

  3. If they are democrats in name and not in reality, all that God Almighty mentioned is arrogance and profiteers. This matter corrupts any country. Thank you for participating. I wish you success.

    • Exactly, these same elements can corrupt any country but too many Americans have mistakenly believed we were somehow immune to them. Thank you and the same to you!

  4. Used to was in campaign season (while there WAS mud-slinging) pols spent time telling voters what they and their party intended to do when elected), very little time out-and-out name-calling.Today, not a pol anywhere is ready to say exactly what they stand for on every issue. Why should they when they get more press pointing at opponents and declaring them evil incarnate, and their opponents doing the same, real issues are not issues, the absolute “bad” of the other side is, obviously the only thing of importance.

    • You said it, Espy, no substantive discussion of policy, just childish claims that the other side are “evil incarnate.” And I think we’re past the point of no return, unfortunately.

  6. I never liked the Democrats because of their history of intolerance, racism and back stabbing since the 19th century. I was always Independent / Libertarian [since my time in Germany and Switzerland as an 11 year old in 1973] but was briefly a Republican because of Reagan. In 1989 [when the Berlin Wall fell], I started recovering my independence until I declared it openly in Christmas of the same year. I was hearing the events of Eastern Europe on my shortwave radio and the Romanian Revolution [hearing it] inspired me to be independent [to the anger of my relatives all from Cuba and either Republican or Democrat. I have not looked back since 1989

  7. I am amazed at how the media reports whatever they’re told to say and anything that doesn’t fit the narrative is simply omitted. How did that happen? The press used to be a force to be reckoned with as they rushed to beat the competition to be the first to report the stories in minute detail. Now you can’t believe most of what you read.

    • I’m amazed, too. I think the outrageous amounts of money that “reporters” make now erased any principles that the profession ever had. The days of news media figures making real-world money vanished long ago. Now it’s just 6-7 figure P.R. flacks for the two major parties.

  8. Democrat and Republican both are trying to prove their best things now all depends on Americans! Well shared 💐

  10. You perfectly described my husband’s nephew, a spoiled, rich white liberal, who convinced himself that his ideas – and his alone – were the right ones. He turned into an insufferable, self-righteous, opinionated, pot-smoking, lazy YouTuber who alienated half of his family, had to go to therapy after Trump won in 2016, and doesn’t work. He is financially dependent on his wife. After years of not speaking, we reconciled this summer, and he admitted that he lost all of his friends and maybe a little tolerance for other people was a good thing.
